cannot open google.de / google.com on terminalserver
Hello,
do you have a Idea why this happens?
Problem: we have 2x Win2016 WTS in a Farm with one Broker. We updated only one Server with Windows Updates.
Since then: www.google.de and www.google.com shows canot load page
already done troubleshouting:
- IE Version are now similar
- google.pl und google.at are working
-google.de / com works via IE private Modus
-Ping is possible
-no change when trying via IP
-Watchguard has now http/https Webfilter
-we have no complicated IE Security Setup / GPO...
-Firefox is working with that pages, EDGE not installed
-Reboot of WTS
-Google Page is working on other PCs within the network
-we have no entries in hosts file or in local DNS Server...

How can I delete a folder in favorites that is too long
I have a file saved in a folder in Favorites. The folder shows normal, but the file shows only a blank document and an address that starts with https. When I try to open it, or delete it, it says I can't because the file name or extension is too long. I can't open it in another tab or change the name either.
Any ideas how to solve this problem?
I am using a Toshiba Laptop, Windows 8.1, IE 11, AV Webroot.

IE 11 blocks access to "Microsoft Update" service
Using Windows Update on Windows 7 SP1, there is an option to enable "Microsoft Update" at the bottom to also update Office and other Microsoft applications:

This opens a webpage, which in IE 10 and earlier, allows me to enable Microsoft Update.
However, IE 11 does not show the page to enable Microsoft Update but shows a useless and unrelated help message:
Use your Start menu to check for updates
How am I supposed to enable the optional Microsoft Update service now?

yahoo mail inbox issues
I have the Probook 4530s with windows 7. For 2 days my yahoo mail inbox will only display the current day emails and appears grayed out so that I can not do anything with them, delete, move etc. I have run my virus scan, re installed Google
Chrome and refreshed the screen. Any suggestions? I can see all of my emails on my iphone.

IE won't let me stay logged into my company's extranet
Hi all. I work for a global hotel company, and we are required to use IE for the company extranet. When I put my login credentials in, the site accepts them. I see the home page for about 1-2 second, and then it logs me out. I can't get anything done!
IE 11/Windows 10 - The site is listed under "trusted", and 1st/3rd party cookies are allowed.

Favourites drop down not displaying in 'Internet Zone'
Hi guys,
We are experiencing a problem with IE in our organisation (version 11.165.17134.0) where the 'Favourites' drop down menu on the menu bar will only show user favourites when they are viewing pages either on the internal intranet, or trusted sites. If they are viewing another external website they cannot see their favourites on the drop down and any new ones that they add do not appear on the drop down.
They can view pinned favourites on the toolbar and can open the favourites bar, so it only appears to be the drop down that is affected.
I believe that this is a group policy setting which is causing the problem but cannot locate which setting I need to change. I have tried disabling 'Enhanced Protection' locally on my machine, but this only appears to fix the issue when my machine is in an OU in AD that does not have any other policies applied, moving it back to a standard OU with other company policies applied seems to being the problem back.
Any advice is greatly appreciated :)

S/MIME on military OWA and Attachements
I recently installed S/MIME using 64 bit Surface computer in internet explorer through OWA for military correspondence.
I now notice I can not attach any documents to emails, whether I am encrypting them or not. Would you be able to assist for workable resolution to this issue? I would greatly appreciate your help, if possible. Thank you.

Can no longer open CHM files across the local network after installing CU for Windows 1709 for x64 Systems (KB4103727)
We had previously used a group policy preference to set the following registry value, which allows the opening of CHM or Windows Help files from network paths. We also place the network paths in the Local Intranet zone in IE, although it should automatically detect it as local anyway.
SOFTWARE\Microsoft\HTMLHelp\1.x\ItssRestrictions\MaxAllowedZone (DWORD) = 1
This works perfectly for all of our users, until we install KB4103727. After this we get a, "Can't reach this page error" from our CHM files.
I double checked the registry and the Local Intranet zone in IE and everything looks like it should.

SAP Portal opens in Edge, but not Internet Explorer 11
We have an issue which occurred on 1 day but did not re-occur but we require a root cause.
We use Internet Explorer 11 to access our internal SAP Portal CRM.
For some reason on this day it would not open in Internet Explorer and we got the error "This page cannot be displayed".
It did, however open in Edge.
As per the technician that dealt with this, he cleared the Credential Manager and after that it opened up in Internet Explorer.
This makes no sense to me what Credential Manager has to do with this, as web login details are disabled in the IE Policy.
As well as, the page did not bring up a login screen, went straight to Page cannot be displayed.
Is there anyone that can a light on this?

Azure Myapps website not loading
our users use myapps.microsoft.com to view Azure application. When using IE, the website is blank for apps. It works fine in private mode/firefox/chrome and also work fine when the user log into a new PC.
We have reset IE, disabled addon. Nothing seem to work. Any help will be appreciated. It works fine on other PC for the user.

IE 11 as the default browser over Edge
I set IE 11 as the default browser but every time I click on a link in an email I still get the question of which browser I want to open the link in. I click Internet Explorer and select the "Always open with this app" and click ok. The next time I click on a link in an email I am again asked to select a browser to open.
How do I fix this permanently so that IE opens instead of edge?

IE11 on Windows 10 won't open Favorites when Favorites are redirected and Enhanced Protected Mode is enabled
When you click on a Favorite in Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 10 (1607), IE only opens a blank page.
We could narrow that problem down - it apparently only occurs if Favorites are redirected to a file share and Enhanced Protected Mode ist enabled.
It works fine in IE11 on Windows 7 though using the same configuration (redirected Favorites + Enhanced Protected Mode).

SSO behind Kiosk
Hello, we've been using a kiosk GPO for some time now, it meets our needs and we've been happy with it. It allows access to a limit number of websites including our Webmail forms logon.
We've added an Enterprise App that that uses our SSO. This works very well at users desktops, home etc but not under this kiosk policy.
Not sure what to do I added the company and Microsoft logon to the trusted sites list (in the policy)
Good news is that it hits the company page, then redirects to Microsoft SSO logon, bad news is it stops there. I'm looking at an empty page instead of this.
Can you tell me what the requirements might be or what I might be doing wrong?
Could any of these do it?

Unable to view SSL certificate in IE11
Hi,
I'm feeling really dumb but I can't figure out how to view the details of an SSL certificate in IE11.
On previous version of IE you would simply click on the padlock that appears in the address bar and then select view certificate. On IE11 the padlock does not appear. The particular problem I'm having is that I'm trying to diagnose why Windows 8.1 with IE11 is rejecting a perfectly valid cert. All I get is a screen telling me that there is a problem with the certificate (it says that the cert is revoked) but no details and I can't figure out how to view the details.

TLS error on specific website for a specific user
I have a user that is getting a TLS issue on a specific website (allscripts.com) on all browsers (IE, Chrome, and Edge). The default browser used is IE, and when the browser is complete reset then the TLS error goes away (2/3 of the time).
All of the TLS options are checked in IE (those are set by group policy), which all you see when you google search this issue. It is also not our ISP since the only user/PC that is affected by this. Other users on Windows 10 can get to the site without issue. Everything is up to date, and the user is running the latest version of Windows 10. Any help, tips, or answers are appreciated.
