I have a user who has a problem with Internet Explorer 11 where when you go to emulation mode using F12, the Document Mode and User Agent String Drop Down Menu are both blank. On our internal website its works correctly but on all other external websites they are both blank.
I have had a look at the link below but this did not help as it would not recreate some of the registry keys.

I've got a weird situation here...I have a 32bit win7 enterprise machine that will not open any links in the body of Outlook. it will open up just fine if i click on a link from Word. If i set Chrome as the default browser, that works as well. I need IE to be the default because most of the business apps work in IE.
I've uninstalled IE by going into Windows Features and removing it, rebooting, adding it back and rebooted. Same issue.
Set IE as default browser. same issue
upgraded from IE 8 to IE 9, same issue
Ran repair on Office, same issue.
removed Office, and then ran a office 2010 removal program. rebooted, loaded office back and tried, same issue.
Tried various different registry changes, same issue.
Any help to get to a resolution would be Greatly appreciated.
Side note... i did do a little hack that may have caused this whole issue....Upgraded Windows 7 Pro sp1 to Windows 7 Ent sp1. seems like since then links do not work when clicking on them from outlook. BUT this is not my machine and im not sure what the user may have done between doing that upgrade and this issue. everything else works just fine! and we have numerous other machines we did this upgrade to and they do not have this issue!

Running Internet Explorer v9.0.8112.16421 on Windows 7 Pro x64 with SP1.
When the browser is asked to open a page in a new window or tab, the new blank window or tab appears, but nothing loads. There is a spinning circle in the address bar and along side the mouse cursor, but nothing more happens.
This behavior is observed whether you click on a link using target="_blank" or right click on a link and select open in new window. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled IE9. I have also experimented with the IE tabbed browsing settings including disabling tabbed browsing.
Running current W7 Home Premium 64bit on an HP desktop. I upgraded current IE10 (which was running OK) to current IE11 and now MANY web pages such as this one: http://news.yahoo.com/3-dead-20-plus-hurt-94-pileup-indiana-004307043.html do not render correctly. Items on the left side of the page stay there, but things to the right of those items get shifted down below all the left column items. I purged cache & tempfiles, etc. - no help. I uninstalled IE11 and then reinstalled IE11 (from Windows Update) - no help. Rebooting doesn't help. Pages look about the same in or out of compatibility mode. Current Firefox and current Chrome render the same web pages perfectly.
I run AVAST AV and LastPass.
Anyone have a fix??

We have our offices in many locations and each location has an organizational unit. We enabled group policies to give the proxy server IP address for each OU as these locations have there own proxy servers. The issue is when there is an associate travelling, he is getting the proxy ip of home office address instead of the location he is working which is realistic as his user account is not moved. But is there a way that the proxy server IP address can be tied up with the AD sites and services so that we can completely get rid of group policies or any best advices.

I'm having a cookie problem on 2 out of 2 tested environments using Windows Server 2008 R2 (with roaming profiles) and Internet Explorer 10 (IEAK'ed) :S
For instance when I login to www.google.com with my username and password, as long as I'm using my Windows session I'm logged in towww.google.com every time I open the browser (with all iexplore.exe processes closed before). When I logoff my Windows session my (roaming) profile is beeing saved on the fileserver and the locally cached Windows profile is beeing deleted.
When I logon to Windows again (on the same computer) the roaming profile is beeing copied from the fileserver to my client (including the .txt cookies), butwww.google.com isn't logging me in automatically. The same thing happens with other cookies related stuff on websites :S
Also tried WITH and WITHOUT folder redirection for AppData/Cookies/etc, even a newly installed environment with Microsoft defaults is giving me problems.
Anybody out there having the same problem ?

Simple enough question: I am wondering if someone can point me in the direction there-of or knows of all of the system changes that are done when a user upgrades from IE 9 to IE 10?
What I mean by this is, what updates (KB or other-wise) are installed, registry changes are made, environment changes are made, etc, etc, etc are done when there is an IE upgrade?
when I look at "images" on google.com, when you click on the image, it does not "pop up".
before it did work.
to open the image now, I have to right click and click "open link"
I do not have this problem in Mozilla
how can I fix this?

Hi, I just got a new surface 2 for development purposes. In the store I'm certain that I could use IE8 as a document mode but when I got home and tried to do the same on mine it defaults to edge mode and won't allow me to change it.
Any idea what could be causing this?
Hi I have updated to IE 10 BUT when I view photos from a web site the photos change but the captions do not.
It worked with IE 9 and works with Firefox and Torch but not IE 10 this is a bit annoying when I am trying to vote for my favourite photo. Also it does not open links from a Google search in new tab as it did before.
It did work with IE10 before I installed IE11 then after I had issues with IE11 went back to IE10 and now it does not update the captions also it does not open links from a Google search in new tab as it did before even though I have set Tabs up in internet options to do just that open a link in a new Tab.

I have one Website which has deployed on Windows 2008 R2 server.
I have one issue with one Web Page... In my Web page have 3 Text boxes for Passwords like -
Login :
Password :
Confirm Password :
So in this case, when this page load all data fills properly excluding confirm password.
"Confirm Password" text box always shows Blank. This text box already filled through code as per database value, but not shown value in this text box.
But same value is showing in first "Password" text box properly.
This problem occurred in IE 10 and 11 only. Same page is showing properly on other browsers and IE8 also.
Can you please give me any solution on this issue ?
I have an incredibly weird issue. I'm unable to open PDF links via Internet Explorer [they open up blank] until I download a PDF, at which point PDF links work just fine.
After I download the PDF file, an empty folder I created 4 months ago re-appears. If I leave the downloaded PDF and old folder on my desktop, I can open PDF links without issue, however, as soon as the folder is deleted, the PDF links start opening blank again.
Any ideas?

I'm feeling really dumb but I can't figure out how to view the details of an SSL certificate in IE11.
On previous version of IE you would simply click on the padlock that appears in the address bar and then select view certificate. On IE11 the padlock does not appear. The particular problem I'm having is that I'm trying to diagnose why Windows 8.1 with IE11 is rejecting a perfectly valid cert. All I get is a screen telling me that there is a problem with the certificate (it says that the cert is revoked) but no details and I can't figure out how to view the details.
When i sign into outlook.com on internet explorer 11, it crashes after about 10 seconds. it crashes twice after which it stops reloading all together. error code is: 0x800cccod. Outlook.com works fine on firefox and chrome but not on internet explorer. and internet explorer can run every other website fine except for outlook.

I apologize in advance for any replication of this question....but I didn't see any previous asks regarding updating from 10 to 11....I'm currently running IE 10.0.12 and have tried to install IE11 from windows update but keep getting error 9C47.....Any help is appreciated...
So I had to have my computer resent to Manurfacture setting (reloaded the original drivers and suff). So now it is running on ie7 and not very well. when I try to update to ie10, it send me to ie8. I tried to download ie8 and while it was downloading it stopped and every time it says my OS does not support this. My OS is widows vista home premium service pack 2. When it was reset there was like 130 windows updates to do, so as of this morning all of the updates have been installed. Can anyone tell me what might be stopping me from upgrading to ie8 or ie10?

Not a huge issue, but a bit cumbersome. We run our IE installations with tightly controlled security zones. When troubleshooting scripting issues for end users, the first question I ask is "which zone displays at the bottom of the IE window".
I am currently testing IE 9 (the actual released version...not the beta, but there's no forum on the released version yet) in our environment before rolling it out to everyone and I have found that while there is still a status bar at the bottom, it no longer displays which zone the currently displayed site falls under.
Is there a way to restore this functionality (I'm sure I'm missing a checkbox somewhere). This is very useful when troubleshooting and is truly needed in our environment.

I am facing an issue with Double click event(not getting fired on double click of mouse) for IE 11 with compatibility mode on HTML element "table" for Windows 7 64 bit machine.It runs fine on IE 10 with compatible mode with Windws 7 64 bit machine -- double click event.
Can you please help to resolve the issue?
