Fix for Flash Player

I Have Windows 8.1 with ie 11. My version of windows came with Flash Player embedded. Unfortunately, the version of Flash Player that came with the machine has debugging. I have been unable to disable the debugging, or even to remove the Flash Player (with the eye of installing a debug free version). I continually get a error popup window "An Action Script Error has Occurred." I am looking for a fix to stop that annoying box from popping up. Not sure if the problem is with ie 11 or Windows 8.1, but its certainly with the debug version of Flash Player. Help please if there is a solution to this specific problem.

What is the problem with this option that is shown in the login page for a CODE validation of a Microsoft Account. I know many people how try to use this option an is useless how many times you check it, It always will ask you again for the code. I have researched for this issue but no one is pointing to the root cause or way to use this.

Latest IE Security Patches (~Jan 14) no longer allowing bypass to internal web server with invalid/no certificate

We have an internal server that is being replaced after a system conversion and new IE  patches are blocking us from going to the internal site anyway. We uninstalled the patches, but IE still will not let us proceed. Using another browser works, but that circumvents our other security software. We are on IE 11. Suggestions? Thanks. The old server is Windows 2000 Server and no source available to update the software

Always ask before opening this type of file - IE11

Hi,

I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue with Internet Explorer and they way it handles opening file from the Internet. Sometimes it gives a prompt like this:

Which is great, I want to turn this on for all common document types (e.g. PDF, Word Docs, Zips). What I've found is you have to either untick the option 'Always ask before opening this type of file', or delete a registry key in

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\AttachmentExecute

When I check my PC I find I don't have that option and the registry keys aren't present.

Could someone clarify this for me? I'm running IE11 and Windows 7.

Thanks

Dave

Windows 7 , Internet Explorer 11 , How do you Deleting a specific webpage cookie with a batch or vbs file process?

There is a website that users login in to resolve remote issues,

The Login screen appears, they login. All is Fine.

They Logoof the Website.

Try to Login Again and just get a white screen.

I determined the issue is caused by a cookie the website drops into IE Temporary Folder.

As I delete that cookie and the login screen again appears and they can login, but process repeats when they logout.

I searched the Internet and found the following batch file that will delete all cookies....

@echo off

set Cookies=C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\

del /q /s /f "%Cookies%"

How do I change it to just delete 1 Cookie?

The cookie would be:

C:\Users\supcbn\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\cookie:supcbn@cn16.airwatchportals.com/

I mistakenly installed google chrome (thinking i was getting google earth) and then uninstalled it. It corrupted IE8 so that i cannot use windows explorer to view our ftp site. (which means that i cannot use our site). Google chrome also corrupted windows outlook but i used a Microsoft fix to cure that.

When i am at our ftp site and i go to "page" and then go to "Open ftp site in windows explorer" i get the error message "This site cannot be opened in windows explorer" I'm using IE8.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Disabled password caching with reg key - but autocomplete forms and password is not greyed out in IE11

Hi,

I recently added a reg key to DisablePasswordCaching (1) to some meeting room computers at work.

The option works, users are not prompted to save passwords whenever logging in to a web site.

After looking around on the net, the options should also become greyed out in the setting (Internt Options - Content - AutoComplete - Settings - "Use AutoComplete For") However, the check boxes are still active.

Any suggestions to why they are not greyed out since the reg key is enabled?

Br,

untz

EDIT:

It seems these options are only greyed out if the setting is deployed through a GPO.

Strange Behaviour noticed when running site on IE 11 Enterprise Mode

Hello,

We have a site which runs absolutely fine on IE 8.

With IE 11 we are running it under Enterprise Mode.

We are noticing an issue when using reports created using Report Viewer Control.

The reports uses asynchronous requests, so when moving between records the page doesn't reloads.

The issue is that when using next button while moving between records, the user agent details changes.

Sometimes it shows

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E)

and sometimes

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/7.0; rv:11.0) like Gecko

The first one is what is expected considering the site is running under Enterprise Mode.

Any help is appreciated?

Kind Regards,
Rajesh

I have a pac script hosted on a website which the clients are using, but i see no connection towards the proxy server. Anyone can see anything wrong in this script?

function FindProxyForURL(url, host) {

    var proxyserver = "proxy.domain:3128";

    var proxylist = new Array(
        "URL1","URL2"

    );

    for(var i=0; i<proxylist.length; i++) {
        var value = proxylist[i];
        if ( localHostOrDomainIs(host, value) ) {
            return "PROXY "+proxyserver;
        }
    }
    return "DIRECT";

IE 11 Site List Manager .V2 Format XML file Not Compatible

We were using the Site List Manager for a few months and it was working OK.  Now that the admin workstation is Windows 10, we downloaded the new Windows 10 version, bulk added the sites from the xml file and then resaved the XML file.

The new format does not work, even for Windows 10 systems.  We had to restore a backup copy of the old v1 XML file and use the old site list manager to keep the original XML formatting.

What do we have to change on the workstations to make the new xml format recognized and will it IE 11 on Windows 7 and 8.1 systems recognize this new format?

Can't delete favorites from IE 10 - Windows 8

Yesterday out of the blue some old pages from my favorites list reappeared.  I deleted these in the past and now they just showed up.  When I right click on them to delete them or go to organize favorites to delete them, they delete for a few seconds, but then reappear.  I try again and again, but they just keep coming back.  The "favorites bar" in my favorites list does the same thing.  I have also gone to users/profile/favorites to try and delete them and they just come back.

I've run multiple scans with my antivirus software and spybot software, but it didn't fix it.

Anyone know how to fix this or know what the problem could be?  I am not a tech guy, just an average joe, but can get around windows decently.

Thanks for your help.
