How to disable Security Alerts message in IE10 via GPO
I'm trying to disable annoying Security Alert message "You are about to view pages over a secure connection" in IE10 via GPO.
I tried different GPO settings but neither of them did the trick.
Any advice\suggestion would be appreciated.

Windows 10 - IE Crashes
Greetings,
I searched and did not find an answer so, I am hoping someone has an answer.
I have a friend using windows 10 and anytime he opens IE, he gets an error that says IE has stopped working and it just loops, loops, and loops. Here is what I have tried
- Resetting IE
- Resetting Advanced settings
- Running the Troubleshooter for IE performance.
None of these seem to solve the issue.
Anyone have any information on this?
Thank you in advance!
IE does not allow me to run JRE/JDK installation...
I use other browsers mainly but sometimes IE pops up, and, it continues to annoy me. I am trying to install JRE/JDK, usually this is an effortless installation however, I am confused by popups that restrict what files I am allowed to run on my computer, whilst I am the computer administrator.
Other browsers indicate that IE is not the default browser so I am surprised the executable somehow prompts IE to popup this unexpected and annoying error message. It is also annoying that the installation process appears not to allow another instance of the installer to load, I am not sure if this is a problem with the installation file or whether Windows is not properly terminating threads. I doubt whether upgrading to IE10 from IE8 (which is the default without an internet connection) would resolve the problem and in any case IE is not my preferred browser, usually.
Is this a usability issue?
I am using Windows Server 2007 SP2, is this a valid usability issue that you might want to fix?

Custom components in IEAK 11 - post-install updates / patches
Hi, I'm trying to deploy IE 11 to our company via System Center 2012 SP1 CU4. I'm attempting to create an .MSI file using the IEAK 11. That's no problem. I can get IE to install using this method. The problem I'm having is when I try to include (add) patches and updates to the installation/.MSI. I'm using the IEAK and am asking them to "install after system restarts" (after IE 11 has been successfully installed). The patch I'm trying to install is KB3087038. I've downloaded the Windows6.1-KB3087038-x64.msu file and have extracted the .cab file from it (You can only select .exe or .cab files for this process.) One of the websites, a Microsoft site, says to insert a command in the "Command:" box to extract the file. The command I insert there is: "expand IE11-Windows6.1-KB3087038-x64.cab -f:* c:\temp" A print-screen is attached below:
When I do this, however, I receive the following error message after IE 11 is installed and the system is rebooted. No files are extracted to the c:\temp folder:
Error: could not locate INF file 'expand IE11-Windows6.1-KB3087038-x64.cab -f:* c:\temp'. So I click OK and the system continues booting into Windows 7. The patch is never applied.
Do any of you have advice for me? Am I using the correct syntax in the Command box? Thank you.
IE11 install breaking local group policies
Running into an odd issue. I have a Windows 7 x64 box running IE9. When IE9 is install I can do Start > Run > gpedit.msc and get into local group policy. I can then navigate to User Config > Admin Temp > Windows Components > Internet Explorer.
The issue happens once I install IE11 on that machine. Once I install IE11 on that machine I wanted to go into group policy and enable enterprise mode for some testing purposes. Once IE11 is installed if I do Start > Run > gpedit.msc I get:
Encountered an error while parsing:
Resource '$(string.BlockImmersiveBrowser)' reference in attribute displayName could not be found
File C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\inetres.admx, line 34666, column 250
Eventually the local GP will display after I click OK on the error above. However, when I navigate to User Config > Admin Temp > Windows Components the Internet Explorer section is now gone. I've done this on 3 separate boxes, all Windows 7 x64 going from IE9 to IE11 and they all exhibit this exact same issue. Anyone have any ideas?

IE9 - IE11 have required frequent Reset processes for normal functionality.
Since updating to IE9 a few years back, we have found that there has been a consistent need to "Reset" Internet Explorer for proper functionality to be restored to various sites. This has been so frequent in fact, that I have built a small batch tool and placed it on all global computers via group policy for all users to have a quick link to a processes that allows for a clean Reset to take place at the end user finger tips.
My process includes all of the items you may do yourself manually as an IT admin, it closes IE, deletes the cached content and then runs the Reset process for the user to check off "Delete Personal Info" and then once finished resetting, it runs gpupdate and then closes.
The fact is that any users may have to do this once a week to continue normal operation of a website that works when everything is clean then may deteriorate over time. This could be an internal web resources of our companies or an external public web resource. When this first started happening it was with IE9 and as we upgraded recently to IE11 with the hopes of this going away, the same consistency of needing to reset IE has persisted. Our users, have now become so used to the Reset Internet Explorer tool that they are accustom to using it on their own without the need for an IT call.
I would like to know if there is anything that may have been overlooked through the years for proper cache management that would be relevant in this situation. I find it hard to believe that it should be an expected behavior for IE to be reset this frequently.
The one straw that has really broken the back is a brand new version of a software that is fully IE11 compatible and was deemed to be problematic with IE when it was first tested by the applications team and they have now determined Firefox is the officially supported browser. When I reset their internet explorer, it worked without issue but that was not their initial impression before contacting me and thus decisions have been made, and my answer to this is not all that appealing, to reset IE frequently if needed.
I understand this is a rather vague question and statement and there are probably 50 items of detail needed to establish more understanding, but overall, this is a general need by many web resources and short of us making some extremely bad decision on something somewhere along the line, I do not understand how proper working order can require a reset so often.
Best regards and thank you for anytime taken to discuss.

Lots of iexplore.exe processes left in memory
Environment:
Windows 7 64 bit (all latest windows updates)
IE 11
From time to time I'll find in task manager a bunch of iexplore.exe processes (the startup ones, i.e. the ones without the SCODEF command line). After watching the behavior for a couple of months the processes correlate with the opening of internet explorer (not a new tab) when no internet explorer window is currently open. Then close internet explorer and the SCODEF processes for each tab go away but the main iexplore process does not always terminate. Sometimes it does and other times it doesn't. Of course after several days a bunch of iexplore.exe processes sit in task manager.
Does that behavior ring a bell with anyone? Or know how to determine what is going on with the iexplore process that isn't allowing it to know or complete its termination sometimes?
May we all make money in the sequel.
IE 11 Enterprise Mode - Where do I install the Site List Manager
Does it matter where I put the Enterprise Mode Site List Manager? Does it need to stay there?
I thought it wouldn't matter, and that I would just use it to generate an XML file. Looking at the XML file, I'm not so sure any more.
I've added one site so far, just to test. Looking at the XML file I have a domain exclude and path exclude, but I don't see any information in them to denote what kind of emulation or document mode to use. Is the system going elsewhere for this information?
