Single IE 9 session, multiple tabs - Message: This Page is No Longer Available
We use Peoplesoft within a browser. We had some software upgrades including an upgrade to IE 9. When I open multiple tabs within a single browser instance, I used to manage unique activities in each tab. Say I open an "Items" menu in one tab and a "Requisition" menu in another tab, then do work or investigation within the Items tab. If I start to work within the Requisition tab, in less than a minute the content of the Requisition tab will clear and I get the message"THIS PAGE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE." And "To continue, return to your most recent active page or select one of the navigation icons in the header above."
Whatever I saw in the Items tab now is duplicated in the Requisitions tab after the error message is displayed. All work in the Requisitions screen is replaced by a duplicate of the previous tab.
No back button is used at any time.
Our I.T. says it's Peoplesoft and Peoplesoft says it's the browser. I have a feeling there is a setting within IE 9 that can be tweaked to turn off this bleeding between tabs. It didn't bleed between tabs in the previous version of IE. Any inspiration? Suggestions?
One big internal website can't loaded normally and it is always redirected into another website
Dear all,
It is a real issue in work and I am a service-desk and during dealing with an issue.

And the user uses IE11 and all internet websites are OK for opening. Also I found resetting IE can't work for change IE home page even I set related home page for the IE.Let user reboot his PC then check it but it still can't work.
It seems his IE was kidnappd by some software.
Does anyone knows which tool is good for fix IE such as IE 9 and IE 11?
Thanks in advance,

IE 11 content advisor configuration via GPO
Hello,
I'm trying to figure out how to enable and configure the content advisor for IE 11 through GPO. The setting in Group Policy preferences is greyed out and there is no way to configure from a regular policy. The only setting relates to showing the content
advisor option (it's disabled by default).
I don't wish to use IEAK.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Above code is working fine upto IE10 But in IE11 this code is not working because of event.keyCode is replaced as read only.

Install IE 11 with Compatibility Unchecked
I need to deploy IE 11 with Compatibility Unchecked. It seems that whatever was the setting before the install "going from 9 to 11" the Compatibility is Unchecked when IE 11 ins installed.
I would like to avoid setting GPO as i need users to control that setting and do not want to over write with GPUpdate whatever they set.
Any ideas?
Thanks for the help.
This page can't be displayed - Turn on TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS 1.2 ** But TLS is already turned on.
I have a user that when they try to log into Duke Progress Energy's website at https://www.progress-energy.com/app/loginregistration/login.aspx it will redirect them to a "one time authentication" page which requires them to use a one-time key to log in on a new computer. When going to this one-time website (secure8.i-doxs.net) it will get an error message that says...
This page can't be displayed
Turn on TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS 1.2 in the Advanced settings and try connecting to https://secure8.i-doxs.net again. If this error persists, contact your site administrator.
Well, I'm the site administrator and I can confirm that TLS 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2 are all enabled and forced by GPO. Restarting IE and rebooting did not help. Chrome and Firefox both work flawlessly.
Edit: This is IE 11 on Windows 8.1 Enterprise.Unable to Install Root CA Certificate - Certificate cannot be verified up to a trusted certificate authority.
Hi,
I am trying to install CA root certificate on Windows 7, IE 9.
Encounter error: "Untrusted Certificate". "This certificate cannot be verified up to a trusted certificate authority."
I have tried to install the certificate to Trusted Root Certificate Authorities->local computer and import was successful. BUT on IE->Internet Options->Certificate->Trusted Root Certificate Authorities, I am unable to find this root CA on the list.
On mmc->Certificates->Trusted Root Certificate Authorities->certificates, I am able to view this root CA.
I then restarted the IE and view the ssl site again but failed too, "Untrusted Certificate".
Anyone, any idea ?

IE 11 as the default browser over Edge
I set IE 11 as the default browser but every time I click on a link in an email I still get the question of which browser I want to open the link in. I click Internet Explorer and select the "Always open with this app" and click ok. The next time I click on a link in an email I am again asked to select a browser to open.
How do I fix this permanently so that IE opens instead of edge?
I have windows 7 home premium 64-bit with SP1 and an i7 processor on a DELL laptop. I removed Internet Explorer last week and am attempting to install it again.
Internet Explorer crashing and update issues
Currently the browser version is listed as 9.X when Internet Explorer is opened and it reflects that in Programs & Features under 'Installed Updates'. However, in 'Windows Features' the browser is listed as Internet Explorer 11. To my knowledge, IE11 has never been installed on this machine but it appears as something wrong has occurred. At first I thought the issue was with Windows Update but then I noticed that if I were going to turn the Internet Explorer feature off it is listed as version 11 with 9 is installed and still in use.
Any help on this will be appreciated as I have never seen anything like this before.

Issue printing with internet explorer 10, 11
Hello,
I have a problem with the internet explorer 10,11 printing quality.
I have a simple asp.net program that generate barecode in a bmp picture. those picture are displayed and the users print them.
With internet explorer 8 and 9, the barcode are readable by the scanner.
With the higher versions of internet explorer, the barcode are not readable.
You can see it in the following picture (printed on the same printer but with different versions of ie, red are wrong, green are correct)
Any idea of the problem source? any tricks to resolve the issues?

Group Policy / Local users
So In all my searching I can't really find a workaround for this. I have a domain and plenty of domain users but I have one department that remains local user accounts. All I want to do is set the default homepage for these 47 domain connected machines.
So with domain users I can use loopback policy to apply the user gpo settings to any computer in those specific OU's. But that simply will not apply to local accounts. Any other thoughts on how to make this work centrally? Not super interested in doing one by one.
thanks in advance.
Edit: I did try pushing a registry setting via the computer config but doesn't seem to be taking.

Hello,
I need to upgrade my IE8 clients to IE11. Can I build a package with IEAK11 to replace IE8 with a freshly created IE11?

Unable to enable scripting for IE8 on Windows Server 2008 (32-bit) for application execution.
Greetings,
I have an HTML2Txt conversion application that programatically calls IE to open an HTML source which produces a formatted text-only output of any web page/html file. The app includes an Html2Txt.ocx that must be registered during installation. The application was originally installed on Windows 2003 Server with IE7 and functioned without issue either via an interactive logon or as a child process (invoked as needed) to a windows service executing under the same user. We are moving the solution off of Windows 2003 and I installed the app and parent service on a 32-bit Windows 2008 Server with IE9. The service executed as expected but the HTML2Txt application failed with errors about IE. I then downgraded IE to IE8 and it now functions without error if I execute it from a command prompt. However, although the application executes without generating any errors and produces a formatted text-only output when invoked by the service, the output generated contains a statement identifying that the browser is not running scripts and any content generated by embedded JavaScripting is not present. I have configured Internet Options to enable Active Scripting and reregistered the HTML2Txt.ocx as well as the jscript.dll in addition to adding the source domain to Trusted Sites. I have also tried opening the source URL, saving it to a file and tried converting the local file and it always produces the same deficient output. Since the output generated during a manual execution of the application produces the desired output, I feel confident that there is no compatibility issue and scripts are obviously executed at that time. Since scripts are not run during the programatic execution of the app, how can I resolve this issue?
Thank you for any suggestions you may have.
