We are using RDS 2012 r2 and internet explorer 11.
There is a thread from May 2014, but I see no resolution. Can you offer a suggestion?
I have a client whose IE 11 browser is being hijacked by the istart123.com virus. I have tried uninstalling the software, running Malwarebytes Premium and most of the solutions posted on the Internet but can't completely clean the infection. Can anyone point me to a resource that provides a complete solution to this problem. Thanks a lot.

i was advised before to check for properly secure sites before I checked sensitive pages or sites? but now even if I type in https:// I still end up with an unsecure site (a page with the upper corner bent over) am I being paranoid or is some thing wrog. please tell me before I go through all the trouble of repairing hacked browsers? I am not that savvy as they ask but I must try myself due to shortage of fund. I have to eat along with my family. please advise TY

If you scroll the viewport, the position of the fixed element is not immediately updated, which makes a bad impression to the users. It happens only in IE. Neither Chrome nor FF got this problem.

I tried to install an add-on from my Chinese bank's website (Shanghai Pudong Development Bank) and after I get the black-ish screen prompting for authorization the website starts loading and then just hangs. I had the exact same problem trying to install an add-on from the online malware scanner eset (.eu), the pop-up with the scanner just hangs after I'm asked for authorization.
I tried disabling my antivirus, disabling Malwarebytes, un- and reinstalling IE11 (turning it off/on) and nothing.
In China it is not rare to see people using Windows XP, so I don't see them updating anything soon.
I could really use some help here! Thank you all in advance.

I have a GPO to add sites to IE security zones. For some reasons it does not allow users to add sites to IE security zone. I have "Security Zone: Do Not Allow users to add/delete site" set to 'Not Configured' and "Security Zone: Do not allow user to change policies" set to 'Not Configured' in domain GPO for Computer configuration.
What causes the option allowing users to manually add sites to IE security zone grayed out (disabled)? How do I fix it? thanks.

This opens a webpage, which in IE 10 and earlier, allows me to enable Microsoft Update.
However, IE 11 does not show the page to enable Microsoft Update but shows a useless and unrelated help message:
Use your Start menu to check for updates
How am I supposed to enable the optional Microsoft Update service now?
I am noticing a difference in how adding a site to open in Enterprise Mode works.
When I incorporate a XML file created by the List Manager, containing 'http://mysite/mypath'. Enterprise mode functions for the entire site. When I say entire site, I mean pages in virtual directories also open in Enterprise Mode. This is good. But I for the time being I would like to put it on my users to approve their sites.
However, if I choose to not use a file and just allow the users to add sites, when they go to 'http://mysite/mypath' then go to Tools and Enterprise Mode to add the site. We close Internet Explorer, reopen, enter the site 'http://mysite/mypath' opens in Enterprise Mode. But when they navigate to pages located in virtual directories, they display in standards mode. And would need to be added separately by going to Tools -> Enterprise Mode.
I just want to know am I seeing this behavior correctly, or am I possibly missing a step.

My hardware is 64 bit. However; the OnLine EMR (Electronic Medical Records) System I use requires that I use a 32 bit based Program. Currently I'm stuck w/IE9 which interfaces poorly w/my Cloud Based EMR System.

I am writing an Active X control using MFC for IE which can be used using <object > tag. Under object tag there is 'data' attribute which is of URL type and gives the resource/file that can be used by the control. My expectation is that IE should download the resource/file and tell me the location to use the file .I have following questions here.
1) Is this is right expectation that IE is going to download data or Control should download the data?
2) If this right expectation then how can I got the path of downloaded data from 'data' attribute?
MFC template derives the control from COleControl which implements all required interfaces like IPersistStreamInt etc to get the required information about the downloaded URL. I read lots of documentation where it seems that this class implements all required interfaces to get the data but I am not able to get that information. I tried to implement the IPersistMoniker as additional interface but that interface is also not being used by IE to inform the URL data. Please advise me to how to get the data.

All our current Users are unable to add any entries to Trusted Sites in IE.
Very similar to https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/04a84c3e-0b02-4ca3-886d-126e5682b113/can-not-add-entries-to-trusted-sites-list?forum=winserverGP we are able to go into Trusted Sites and type the URL and click Add to see the item displayed, but after clicking Ok then going back into 'Sites' the item is no longer there.
If I check the registry the items are listed, but nothing in UI of Internet Explorer, and the site is not processed by IE.
We have tested to the point we know it is only a User setting somewhere in their profile/registry but not sure how to proceed. We can override using Computer Settings (Zone / Assignment) but we do not want to do this as it locks the User out.

The IE 11 on Windows 8.1 64-bit is not working. when I type in any URL, IE does not respond.
If I type any intranet URL then IE is working
If I type any external URL like microsoft.com it won't work.
for Internet zone -> Protected Mode is enabled
for Local Intranet -> Protected mode is unchecked.
If I uncheck the protected mode for Internet Zone, I'm able to access the external websites normally.
Is there any known issues on IE11 with the Protected Mode on?
Please advice.

My clients do not load my enterprise list. I have tried the following...
1.Create a sites.xml file using the Site List Manager tool and store it on a web site accessible by all clients
2.Enabled the "Use the Enterprise Mode IE website list" group policy option and entered the appropriate URL to access the sites.xml file.
3.Verified that the client applied the policy
The Key get written to the Registry

We have opened the application in IE 11 then when i am click on the button it will open another window, before it is opening fully we have closed the child page then it is refreshing parent page automatically because of this what ever the changes we are having in the parent page got lost.

I am having trouble logging in to the UHRS Web in IE11.
I have to sign in with my WLID. I can remember it perfectly, still I have been unable to log in to the UHRS Web since 9/24, when I was suddenly disconnected.
There is no specific error.
I just go to the UHRS Web Entry Link.
I click on "Sign in with LiveID". Then I see the window where I usually enter my username (Microsoft account) and password. I enter them as usual, there is no message about the incorrect WLID or password, which happens when you enter the wrong ones.
After that I click on "Sign in". This small window then disappears and nothing else happens, I stay where I have been and do not log in as usual.
The interesting fact is that everything is OK in IE11 (the same version) on my husband's computer. I log in without any problems.
On my computer, I have the latest IE version (IE 11). My antivirus program is OK. I have tried to scan my computer for viruses and spyware with different programs. No result. I still have difficulty logging in to the UHRS. It is the first time I have had such
a problem since January.
I have tried all the steps suggested by the technical support team including clearing the application cache and disabling all the add-ons.
The problem seems to be in the browser or antivirus settings though I have not changed them myself in any way.
Is there anything I can do about it?
