Hi all,
I am a deployment engineer and one of our prerequisites is to install IE9 in our product. I have specified that 64bit Windows (Win 7 SP1, Win 2008 R2 SP1) should get a 64bit IE9 and I have a custom IE9 install using IEAK9.
This all works fine for English, French and German but on Chinese Simplified systems the IE9 install that I have created only installs the 64bit. The 32bit component is missing.
I have noticed:
1. On full install of IE9 (non IEAK) downloaded from MS only the 64bit version is installed.
2. The downloaded Chinese Simplified install of IE9 delivers both 64bit and 32bit.
For all installs of our product needs to have both 64bit and 32bit installed on 64bit Windows.
I do not want to add every localized version of IE9 that behaves this way into our prerequisite installer. It potentially may blow out disc space requirement (we do not have enough space on dual layered dvd).
Is there a way to get one installation source of IE9 to deliver both 64bit and 32bit versions on 64bit Windows regardless of localization?
Thanks for looking
Regards
Carlo
