I am having two issues with IE8.
1. On an intranet page, we have a link to open certain folder from an App server (file://app6/folder1/folder2/dest_folder). User has got full permissions on these folders and share. Suddenly, it started showing as blocked when I keep pointer on this link
and it throws an error 'Cannot find file'file://app6/folder1/folder2/dest_folder'. Make sure the path or internet address is correct.' . I tried opening this folder from windows explorer and it says Access Denied where everyone in this domain has
got full permissions from the root share. It is a Windows XP machine.
2. Second issue is while opening 2003 version MS Word files from Internet. System is Windows 7 64 bit and has Office 2010 installed. While opening the file from an internet page, it starts like opening in a Word 2003 application and then it says unable to open. if I download the file and open it, it works fine through Word 2010. in File associations, it is set to open with Word 2010 for .doc and .docx. There are no elements of 2003 present on this system.
