Certificate Errors on Internal URLs.

Hi

Over the past 2 weeks I have no longer been able to access internal WiFi servers via IE11 (or Firefox, or Opera, or Chrome).  The WiFi services are running on a Windows PC on the domain. We have 2008 Svr, Windows 7 Pro clients, IE 11.  This is happening on all the sites I visit, which are unconnected / unrelated school domains. In each school I now get "Certificate Error" and a "recommendation" not to continue.  This needs to be amended by Microsoft. It's not a recommendation. There is no option to proceed as formerly to a trusted site (yes, I already tried making them 'Trusted' in IE options).  The message should read: "Microsoft denies you any access to your URL". Yes, it's incredibly frustrating.

My Googling so far indicates a huge number of people with this error, and I have possibly narrowed it down to the increased security to 1024-bit encryption - as opposed to the former 512.

I tried an elevated command prompt: certutil -setreg chain\- it doesn't work.

My only doubt about this being the cause is that it's been around for a couple of years.

I'm open to suggestions as this is a monumental issue. However, I'm so busy I rarely get opportunity to respond.
