Hello,
I am currently using an intranet site within our organization for updating many day to day files. We use Sharepoint Services 3.0. We keep many medical charts on file within this intranet site. My problem is, I recently upgraded all of our PCs
to Windows 7 Pro (some 32-bit and some 64-bit) At first we did not have any problems at all as far as compatibility with our SharePoint site. But when Windows 7 attempts to upgrade itself to Internet Explorer 10 our SharePoint site is not longer compatible
with this version of Internet Explorer. Using another 3rd party browser like Google Crome, Opera, Firefox...etc is not an option for us.
When I encounter the problem, I usually just uninstall the Internet Explorer 10 update from the control panel. Once I we run Internet Explorer 9 again, the problem is temporarily solved.
Is there as way to "easily" update my SharePoint site to a modern SharePoint Version so that we will not have a compatibility issue? Perhaps there is some sort of update patch that I can install on our server? Is this something
that Microsoft would have to release? I am not sure how I would even start migrating all of our data from our current SharePoint site into a newer version. Would I need to create some sort of a migration batch to accomplish this? Any guidance at all would
help.
Thanks for your time.
