Hello,

I have something weird happening that I'm hoping someone else will know the solution to. I've been running Windows 8 Enterprise on my home computer for about 9 months with Internet Explorer 10. At first, Internet Explorer worked flawlessly and I was very happy to see a smooth running browser on the first release. I'm not sure exactly when it started, but a couple of times a week, Internet Explorer just stops allowing input ON ONLY SOME WEB PAGES (i.e. logmein.com, technet.com, and others). Basically, the page comes up, but I can't click on any link or type any data into any of the fields. I can use the tab key to move to an input field like username, but typing does nothing. I've tried going into F12 and playing with the compatibility modes, but none of them fix the problem. Other pages continue working fine and I can click on links and input to my hearts delight. Usually a reboot fixes this problem, but that is just irritating so I loaded Chrome onto the system. Any ideas on a fix or why this is happening?

Win7 x64 currently have IE9. I have tried multiple fixes without success. I can successfully install other windows updates, however the IE10 install fails with error details of "Code 9C59". Below is the logs:

IE9 won't open a lot of pages. It just opens a new tab that is a blank screen and a empty tab title. The extension types all vary. However, if I cut and paste the link in a new tab it will work. I already tried to down grade the version to 8, but it says its unsupported by windows 7 64 bit, funny I started with 8...

Hello --

I have a clean install of Win7 Professional (32-bit).. installed Adobe Reader 9.. installed Win7 SP1 and all necessary and recommended updates.. updated Reader to v9.5.5 (this is the only/latest version supported by some of our company software).. There is nothing else installed on this machine.

The problem: When I open IE10, click on a pdf link (the pdf displays properly in the browser), click the Print icon in the upper-left, click Properties in the Print dialog, the Properties dialog comes up and then freezes. The tabs, buttons, and mouse pointer graphically change, but clicking does nothing. Clicking the underlying Print dialog box makes the Properties box flash, so it's not totally locked, but just unresponsive to clicks. The only way to close the dialog box is to stop the iexplore process in taskmgr. This happens with any printer selected (tested on local and network printers, and even MS XPS Doc Writer, and Fax).

I can save the pdf and print from Reader directly with no problem, and I understand that I can deselect "Display pdfs in browser" in Reader options, however, those workarounds won't satisfy the users.

I'm at a loss as to what could be causing this or how to proceed further in troubleshooting this.. Can anyone lend a hand please?

I have Internet explorer 9, and vista. I can't tell you when this problem happened. All I know is in ebay this section used to work brilliantly. I went to use the advanced search section this week, and when I type in some information, and click return, a bell rings, and nothing happens, or if I hit search, nothing happens at all.

When I type in information and try to save it to save searches, I click on search and nothing happens either.

I contacted ebay and as usual they told me to try another program like Firefox. I don't believe that's the answer. It's got to be something simple in the search engine. It is a problem from my computer though, as I can get on someone else's computer, log in to ebay and the advanced, and save search engines work

Any Ideas?

I use IE 8 because when i update to IE 9 or 10 . Then all text becomes blurry..ect on forums or just plain text in youtube comments becomes blurry as well. So i will stick like super glue to the IE 8 until i die.

But the main question is: When i go to youtube, then i cant see the thumbnails or screen prewiev for the recommmend clips on the front page. Ans when i click on a video, then the comments dosent show or loads...and i if they eventualy do, then i cant post or click on anything..i cant even log out from youtube in IE 8

What the hell has happend ?

The subject message pops up any time I attempt to open my IE8 browser using Windows XP and set to my home page "ATT.Yahoo". When I click "OK" in the message, IE closes and tries to recover, but with the same results each time. I know there is a method to reset IE9, but can't tell if it also pertains to IE8 since it can't be opened.

I have htc 8x device I have upgraded it WITH latest software updates. Its settings its showing windows 8 correctly but in user agent string which i am printing with Navigater.userAget is showing "Mozzilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.; Windows Phone OS 7.5; Trident/5.0; IEMobile/9.0; HTC; Windows Phone 8x by HTC)". Also browser is behaving as as a i.e. 9 only.

After doing factory reset it showed windows 8 i.e. 10 for first time and also browser was also behaving like i.e. 10 but later after loading other pages agian when i check it was again started showing windows 7.5 and i.e 9 in usetr agent string and browser started behave like i.e. 9 again.

I get the Message from webpage (Object Error) usually 3 or 4 times if I am logged in or not logged in. Once I get this message, the only way I can continue is to use Ctrl-Alt-Delete and start over again. I operate Windows 7, 64 bit, Internet Explorer 9. I do not have this problem if I use Crome as my browser.

In IE 9, I had configured it to clear the history upon exit and when ever a new browser session was started there was nothing cached in the address bar. So if you started typing in an address like "technet.microsoft.com" you were required to enter in the full address.

Now that IE 10 is installed this feature is no longer present. I checked "settings" in the browsing history, delete browsing history is still checked, the history days are set to 0, website cache and DB is off, but IE 10 is still keeping a record of websites visited. In addition, I've gone into the "Advanced" tab and unchecked the "use inline auto complete in the IE address bar" option. Anyone have an idea why IE 10 appears to be overriding these settings?

I installed a new router last week and as soon as it was connected my Internet Explorer started running really slow, like it takes 5 minutes to load a page if it even loads at all. I can use Firefox just fine, it is not slow at all, but I prefer to use IE. My "Automatically Detect Settings" LAN option is already checked, and I tried downloading a newer version of IE but it says it's already running it. Any other ideas?

was trying to clean up my css and javascript and i went too far. while this code works on chrome safari and firefox it went nuts in IE10.

Do you know what is going wrong here?

Hi all

We have some problems with our new Windows 7 Clients and their proxy auto-detection (wpad)
We are using only DNS for finding the wpad.dat file, the option in DHCP is not configured.

So we installed about 20 new Notebooks with Windows 7 64bit. Same Hardware, same OS, same configuration.
Some of them never had problems with IE or Firefox to connect to the internet using the proxy. Others have sometimes problem and there are some clients how never could connect. These clients download the wpad file but it seems like they dont use it...

With GPOs we disabled the caching of Auto-Proxy scripts and the option "Make proxy settings per machine (rather than per-user)" is enabled.

The old Windows XP Clients dont have problems with the proxy.

Hi Guys,

Here is the overview,

Have 200 Win7 pro Desktops, IE 9 installed.
Content Rating is used to block access to all sites except selected sites.
Third part app connects to internet site using HTTP,HTTPS.

The problem is when we enforce the content rating we find that intermittently there is a delay in communication with the third party app, it can take up to 10 sec for a response. As this is a time sensitive app this is creating a problem.

If anyone has any idea on how to resolve this I would be grateful.

I am planning to test using IP address for destination to see if that helps. Will update if I get positive results.

In order to create an hybrid application using biztalk server on windows azure[http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj248693(v=bts.80).aspx], Need to create an EDI Agreement using link "http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=235056". Tried to open with the browsers(IE 10,Firefox,Chrome]. Getting "This webpage is not available" error.
Please help me out to open a link.
