you use Internet Explorer 32-bit, but I want to use 64 bits per performance, but as I see internet explorer 64 bit has problems with its components.

I'm connecting from my home PC to my work network using VPN. When I brought up IE11 and initially went to an intranet site, it popped up a question asking "enable intranet browsing"? I clicked "never ask again" by accident. It didn't seem to have any effect, as I was able to access the intranet site. But I started having a few odd issues that I've never seen at the office.
I was wondering if that "enable intranet browsing" option might fix my problems. However, I can't find any way to bring that question back. I don't see that option in the IE options, but I may be missing it. I tried to reset all the browser settings, but it still doesn't bring back that question.
Any ideas how I can get the browser to ask that again, or just enable whatever saying "yes" to that would have done?
Thanks
I have embedded a windows media player in a asp.net web page, using the usual <object>
and <embed>
tags. The video is served by an ashx (http handler). When I try to play the video, I usually (but not always) get an error message telling me that the file extension (ashx) does not match the file format.
This happens in IE (8, 9, 10, 11) and also in Firefox (latest) with the WMP plugin.
I know that the tags (with classid, etc) are correct because the media player displays and allows me to click the 'play' button.
The ashx returns the correct mime type (video/x-ms-wmv) and a valid file name (somevideo.wmv) in the response headers. I have tried content-disposition attachment and inline.
I have tried urls using 'http://', 'https://', and '//' (which I prefer)
If I put the url (including the .ashx) of the video file in the browser address bar directly, the video downloads and plays in the standalone media player.
If I modify the object tag to use a direct path to the video file (/somewhere/somevideo.wmv), it works - but I can't use this as a solution.
The same ashx serves up video and audio in various other formats with out any fuss - it just seems that the embedded windows media player doesn't like it.
This has been working for several years - I think this is some new behavior, though I can't identify what has changed, other than browser updates.
Any ideas on what could be causing this? Am I missing something simple?
From a clean system, nothing else was run before hand, I notice iexplore.exe continue after exiting IE10. I have experienced up to 8 of these processes running afterwards which suck up memory like nothing else. This can not be normal. I am simply browsing various web sites and when many of these continue to run memory can drop below 25%. The only solution I have found is to go in and end the processes thru task manager which completely restores the memory. This of course results in messages that IE ended abnormally when I start it again and asks if I wish to restore my previous session - ah NO.
Why does IE continue after a normal exit? How can I get this fixed. Neither the latest versions of Firefox or Chrome do this only IE
Dear everybody,
Please tell me about how to disable Internet Options via group policy to Internet Options on Tool menu, Internet Options on Control Panel and Command control inetcpl.cpl?
kea
I use a Toshiba Satellite laptop and Windows 7.
I'm sure many others have had the problem of Windows Update refusing to let Internet Explorer 11 install (Error 9C47). I have tried troubleshooting. In the updates section, the "important update" is IE 11, but one of the "optional updates" is IE 10. However, I already have IE 10 installed on my computer, shown in my Installed Updates.
I tried uninstalling the IE 10 shown in my Installed Updates but it will not uninstall, saying it "cannot be completed." This is the same message that comes up after trying to install IE 11.
I have also tried installing IE 11 directly from the site, which comes up with the same error. I tried to install IE 10 from the site as well, but the error message said I already have an updated version installed.
Please help, this is driving me insane.

I was again unable to use my favorites links and unable to sign into amazon, I have this narrowed down to KB2898785. I currently have KB2898785 uninstalled until I can get some answers as to what I should do about this. I will not go to Microsoft answers because 90% of their answers are wrong and tend to misguide me down the wrong paths!I am gathering historical photos of USN ships that I served on for an service album I am assembling.
The source photos I find are fine! But I would like to eliminate the bottom of page file-string printing stuff appearing on my finished photo sheets. How can I prevent/remove that before photo paper printouts?
Hello All,
I've got a weird situation here...I have a 32bit win7 enterprise machine that will not open any links in the body of Outlook. it will open up just fine if i click on a link from Word. If i set Chrome as the default browser, that works as well. I need IE to be the default because most of the business apps work in IE.
I've uninstalled IE by going into Windows Features and removing it, rebooting, adding it back and rebooted. Same issue.
Set IE as default browser. same issue
upgraded from IE 8 to IE 9, same issue
Ran repair on Office, same issue.
removed Office, and then ran a office 2010 removal program. rebooted, loaded office back and tried, same issue.
Tried various different registry changes, same issue.
Any help to get to a resolution would be Greatly appreciated.
Side note... i did do a little hack that may have caused this whole issue....Upgraded Windows 7 Pro sp1 to Windows 7 Ent sp1. seems like since then links do not work when clicking on them from outlook. BUT this is not my machine and im not sure what the user may have done between doing that upgrade and this issue. everything else works just fine! and we have numerous other machines we did this upgrade to and they do not have this issue!
HELP! Thanks
Will
I recently installed a Samsung M2825 printer on my network. Now I'm unable to print to that printer from IE 11. I get the following error message:
"There was an internal error and Internet explorer is unable to print this document."
I can print to my other printers (HP Photosmart and HP LaserJet) but not to the Samsung. Furthermore, I can print to all three printers without difficulty from Firefox 26.0.
I'm running Windows 7 Pro SP 1, 32 Bit.
Any suggestions?

IE 8 through 11 inclusive are returning Script errors. It's set to not display every script error, and I've also disabled "Enable XSS Filter". Script errors are still happening.
Any idea how to get rid of these?
Hello:
I have a Win XP SP 3 box running IE8. When I go to Tool -> Internet Options, many of the controls are greyed out... there is also a message at the bottom of the screen which reads, "some settings are managed by your system administrator".
This is a standalone host -- everything is managed on that host; so... I opened the mmc, added the Group Policy Object Editor and browsed to Local Computer Policy -> Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Internet Explorer
Just about ever policy item there is marked "not configured".
The question becomes, where do I go to be able to set the group policy so IE settings can be changed?
Thanks!
Hi folks, I hope you can help. I started a church blog at WordPress with a password protected page available to leadership members only. The page works fine when members are using Chrome as their browser; however, that same page will not open when using IE as the browser. I'm not sure why, WordPress support says that it must be something in IE settings causing the problem. Any suggestions?
Hello and thank you for your time and assistance.
I have gone through many posts regarding this issue and cannot seem to resolve it. I ran SFC and SUR and I even renamed the SoftwareDistribution folder to .old. I have also tired manually installing ie10 and ie11 just to name a few. Here are the results of my ie10_main log and the SUR Log. The CBS log file is quite lengthy but can provide that as well if needed.
