Internet Explorer 9 Silent Uninstall
Hello,
I created a custom IE9 install by using the Microsoft IEAK9. The source used for the custom install and destination OS is the same, Windows 7 Pro x86. My install works perfectly with the correct customizations. However, when I run the msiexec /x
{GUID} uninstall key from the command line, I am prompted to locate the IE9 Msi installer. When I point it to the IEAK Output MSI file (which it already had found) it complains about not being a valid IE installer package. When I look at the details of the
IE9-Setup-Full.msi I see a different product GUID than listed in the registry uninstall key, however if I attempt to use that key I get the "product is not installed" error. This is the command line used to install the package: MSIEXEC /I "\\serverpath\9.0\IEAK9OUTPUT\FLAT\Win32_WIN7\ENU\IE9-Setup-Full.msi"
/qn /norestart
I can run the uninstall from the control panel without any problems, but I like to have a silent uninstall script in case I need to perform a reinstall if I run into any issues during general deployment. Has anyone else run into this problem and know a way
to fix it?

IE 11 does not recognize my network printer
I can print from Word and Excel (so I know it is not a PC or network problem) but I cannot print from IE 11 or OneNote. Those applications do not recognize that there is a network printer available.

Footer of printed page shows local drive path instead of the webpage url
When I print any webpage in IE10 in Windows 7, the footer contains a file path like file:///C:/Users/username/AppData/Local/Temp/Low/80S1TSTK.htm instead of the URL of the webpage I am printing. In the Page Setup settings of Print Preview I have chosen to print the URL in the footer. This started happening after I reinstalled Windows when my computer got infected.
I have tried the following but I still have the problem.
In my registry I went to the path HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\PageSetup and made sure the footer value is &u&b&d.
When above action did not fix it, I reset Internet Explorer (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737). The problem remains. It is still there after IE automatically updated to IE11.
Any help will be appreciated.

Internet Explorer 10 / 11 breaks Microsoft's group policies for proxy exceptions?
At one of our larger sites we've started experiencing a major issue with one of our collaborative web servers in that piles of users whose systems have automatically updated to Internet Explorer 10 are not adding the sites we've deployed via group policy to the proxy exceptions to their proxy exceptions (Internet Options | Connections | LAN settings | Advanced).
So basically we deploy a number of subnets and domain names to our proxy exceptions list and after our support center blew up with calls concerning random issues, I had the admins compile a list of affected and unaffected systems contrasting various items and we noticed the one similarity was Internet Explorer 10. Thousands of unaffected systems have Internet Explorer 8 / 9 while all those affected have Internet Explorer 10.
Is there a new way to deploy proxy exceptions? We thought about forcing them down via registry keys but felt there must be a less obtrusive method and maybe something is wrong.

CMyPrintDialog::OnInitDialog() is not called in IE10
I have a class named CMyPrintDialog derived from CPrintDialog of MFC. It's used as an ActiveX in IE, and the project is linked to MFC statically. It works well in IE8 for many years. But the same binary of the project doesn't work well on IE10. The print dialog could pop up, but unfortunately its OnInitDialog is never called and causes problems. The strange thing is that if I attach the VS debugger to IE, OnInitDialog will be called correctly and the customized print dialog works well. Seems Microsoft has change something and causes the problem.

Since Upgrading to Internet Explorer 11 (Version 11.0.9600.16428) Project Web Access 2013 doesn't allow me to look project schedule, it shows blank page. Ribbon tools is not active, other pages work good.

Active X White Screen on IE8 & IE10 Windows 7 Devices
Hi All,
Slight issue when using a site which had been built for our business in that it still works with Windows XP SP3 machines however doesn't work with our Windows 7 build which we are looking to push out. Whenever we click the desired link it loads up with a white screen and wont go any further (usually to do with Active X). Just wondered if anyone had also had these issue's before and if so how they fixed it. I will keep playing to see if it can be fixed.

IE9 open in new window/tab does not load
Running Internet Explorer v9.0.8112.16421 on Windows 7 Pro x64 with SP1.
When the browser is asked to open a page in a new window or tab, the new blank window or tab appears, but nothing loads. There is a spinning circle in the address bar and along side the mouse cursor, but nothing more happens.
This behavior is observed whether you click on a link using target="_blank" or right click on a link and select open in new window. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled IE9. I have also experimented with the IE tabbed browsing settings including disabling tabbed browsing.

Win 7 - IE 11 Blank Pages???
So, M$ did their 3AM update and installed IE 11. Slap me for not having "Ask First" as the default!
Anyway, I can click the home button and go to my home page of yahoo.com, but clicking any link there gives me a blank page.
I was previously running IE9 just fine. IE10 was a headache so I un-installed it.
I am seeing other people complaining about this. Have not seen a solution yet.
FireFox 25 works fine. Chrome is working fine.
Ideas?

IE9 download manager will not display "Open" option (only "Save" and "Cancel" is displayed) for downloading HTML documents.
Hi,
When our website users click on an html attachment embedded on a web-page in IE9, the download manager will not display the "Open" option. It will only display "Save" and "Cancel" which our users don't like, having to save the html document in a folder to open it. Whereas, when downloading attachments like pdf, word etc. all three options are displayed.
Is there any setting to tweak , which will display all the 3 options for HTML attachments as well?

IE11 in Windows 8.1 changes scale when moving window between screens
Hi,
I'm using Windows 8.1 with IE11 on a Dell Latitude E6510 with an external LG screen. I use both screens in my daily work and when I move a IE11 window from the internal screen in my laptop to the external LG screen, the scaling in IE11 changes and gets smaller. It happens when the windows is halfway over to the external screen. On the way back it changes again and gets bigger. I've use the "One scaling for all my screens" in the Control Panel|Display applet without success. It's only IE11 that has this behaviour, no other programs does this.

IE9 plays stereo sound as multichannel
The topic says it all. For some reason, IE9 plays all stereo content as multichannel (5.1 in my case). How I can force IE to play stereo as stereo? Chrome seems to be working just fine, as other sound source (winamp, wmp, mpc-hc etc).
I'm running Win7 Pro x64 w/sp1 + latest updates and IE9 9.0.8112.16421

Missing key strokes - random line breaks IE11
So among the many other issues IE11 has delivered, I frequent one particular website of a forum type that runs on vBulletin V4.2.0 When attempting to type a reply in a text box, IE11 basically puts gibberish through missing many keystrokes or putting an"enter" after each letter (sometimes). On my Surface RT tablet, the problem is worse as the touch screen keyboard will appear and disappear continuously while you're trying to type a reply.
I realize this is just IE's "interesting" concept of web standards and refusal to work as every other browser does (kind of like driving the wrong way on the highway while asking why all these other cars are driving the wrong way?) and it's
not going to change but if someone can tell me, from a developers side what needs to change in the pages code to fix this, I'll be able to get that change implemented I'm sure.

Emulation-Options: empty / MS CRM incompatible
Hi
We are experiencing some problems here since the automatic rollout of IE11. A client of ours uses MS CRM 3.0 which now wont work anymore. It says "install a "modern Browser like IE 6 SP1 or later".
So, no problem I thought, let's change the document-mode to IE8. But wait, no, it's not possible. If I open the developer tools and go to "emulation" the option-fields of document-mode and user-agent-string are empty, no possibility to change this.
Now, as MS CRM 3.0 refuses to work with the most current IE and it also refuses to work with any other browser I thought I'm going to ask you guys whether or not anybody knows a solution.
