EDGE remembers your passwords if you are logged in with your Microsoft account on different PCs, which is very good. Firefox and Chrome have had this feature for years and allow you to login to the browser on any PC no matter what credentials you log in to the PC with. Office also allows you to login with Microsoft account on any PC no matter what account you log in to the PC with. Is there a way to log in to Edge even though I am logged in to the PC with another account not my Microsoft account? Why do I want to do this? My home devices-1 PC, 1 surface pro 3 , 1 desktop replacement laptop and 1 ultrabook I use Microsoft account to login, my main PC I use a local account to login, my work PC I must use my work account to login. I log in to office on all of these with my Microsoft account, but I cant log in to Edge with my Microsoft account on the work PC, which I would like to do as I want to use all my saved passwords from Internet Explorer, which now freezes after 3 or more tabs are opened. I must still maintain internet explorer for citrix plugin for the foreseeable future, and for intelliviewer for the time being, shortly to become standalone, all else now works in Edge ( slow process!).

On a related matter firefox and chrome and opera (and a safari lookalike) may be installed on any operating system, office apps can also be installed on android and iOS, an EDGE lookalike from cperi is available ,will an official Microsoft Edge be available for Android and iOS?

We have Windows 10 Professional Edition 64 bit and IE11. Once the computer is connected to a Domain Account, the internet Explorer Enables Protected Mode and Site and custom Level Tabs are grayed out under security Tab. We are not able to add the intranet trusted sites.

We have checked on the Domain Controller Group Policy and no policy has been set for internet explorer.

If we login to a local user,  all the above greyed out tabs are enabled and Protected mode is disabled. 

I have tried several ways and nothing is successful. Which setting is to be done for enabling this setting while connected to Domain account?

Hi,

There's an entry for Internet explorer within Applications and Services Logs in the Event Viewer, but the log is empty.

I tried to enable the logging through the registry and the "Enable logging" checkbox in in the event viewer properties is checked and greyed out.

How can I enable the IE logging?

I am having trouble with IE 11. Several websites I like will not work with it. I want to go back to IE 10 but can't seem to find a way to do that. I am running Windows 10.

Hi!

GPO works on first login to the computerbut does not change the value of: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software \ Microsoft\ Windows \ CurrentVersion\ Internet Settings\Zones \2\1,201.Tested also in IE10 butthe policy does exactly the same thing there. But Isthe user profile already on the computer it manage to change the value of the key1201.

The key value is set to be allowed for the trusted zones.

I'll hope tou understand and if it should be under Another category so put it there.

Your Email system has now become a complete JOKE.

Although I sent an email to a known source, it came back to me as Undeliverable.

What gives?

That was an email that I have sent to the source many times.

Now, it came back to me thru the Mailer Daemon in Chinese.

I never sent it that way.  It should have gone thru.

What is happening with Microsoft Email?

If you don't want me to send any more, then Tell Me So.

Otherwise, keep your hands off of my email.  It is Personal.

And don't tell me that you have complete control.

This is NOT YOUR SYSTEM, It is Mine.

And, You do not control the Email any more than you Control the MAIL.

So, if you do not keep your hands off of the email,
then I will send complaints to the right authorities.

On a specific PC certain users (not all) cannot access Intranet sites. User can access intranet sites normally on all other PCs (we use roaming profiles). I have logged on to the PC and everything works as normal, while affected user was logged on I was able to run IE 11 As Different User (myself) and all intranet was available. GPupdate, killed off the user in Registry and \Users, deleted all stored user credentials (user oddly had 16 separate Communication Server creds; all but 1 expired), reboot and issue still exist.

I have recently installed IE11 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine using Windows update. Since installing this, Windows update is still prompting me to install this. If I attempt to go ahead with the installation, I am getting error 9C48. The version installed is 11.0.9600.16428.

I've seen various threads online with similar problems, but nothing has fixed this yet.

I have not been able to uninstall it as it is not showing on the installed programs list, nor is it showing as an installed update.

If I try and install it using the offline installer, an error tells me it can't proceed because of a newer version installed.

I also found a copy here: support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/17621/internet-explorer-downloads This appears to install fine, but when checking with Windows update, it was still prompting me to update and the same error occurred.

To whom it may concern,

I am unable to open FTP files in IE 10. I click on the "Alt" key. Once the "V" in "View" is underlined, I click on "View." The "Open FTP site in File Explorer" is unresponsive. I click on it, but nothing happens.

I tried the site using Firefox on another computer and an earlier version of IE on another computer and have no issues.

Is there a patch or other fix to address this problem in IE 10?

I can't use GP to enable Enterprise Mode in MS Edge as we have old AD (not sure if this can be fixed by adding some admx). 2008 Server (not even R2).

I have already enabled Enterprise Mode for IE11 via registry and it works fine on Windows 10. I have found an article (updated a month ago). Which mentionsHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\MicrosoftEdge\Main\EnterpriseMode registry to enable it in Edge. But i don't have such registry on 1607 build. So, has this registry moved somewhere else, or maybe it was removed recently? Is there any other way to enable EM for Edge other than GP?

When I want to watch Flash videos embedded into Facebook pages videos are not displayed as they should be. Where the video should be seen there is only blank white space. Audio is running normally though. If I click FULL SCREEN video mode Flash video is displayed normally. Only in small screen modes Flash videos are not displayed properly.

I have tried playing same videos using Google Chrome which is also using Flash ActiveX and everything is working fine there. Firefox which is using Flash Plugin also works fine. Only IE11 is not working as it should.

I have already reinstalled Flash Player and disabled all IE11 addons but problem is still there. I would say this is not Adobe Flash Player problem as in Chrome everything works fine.

Both the latest versions of Adobe Flash Player and updated IE11 are installed on my computer.

Can you, please, tell me what should I do to fix this problem.

could not open IE 11 so i went to Microsoft to download the latest version but it keeps telling i have a later version very frustrating i have since installed Chrome and Firefox  no problems if i cannot get any easy solutions i will stick with them . I am using win 7 pro 64 bit

Main PC: beginning today, my homepage (google) returns "this page can't be displayed". I have tried all the typical repairs. No new software was added.

I have tried typing in the address, and adding it to trusted sites........

HI,

I have an issue with updating Microsoft CRM web form fileds in one laptop, fileds are grayed out. This is only in one laptop other pc's can update web form fields. I am using internet explorer 11.

He are having issues with a 403 7 when users attempt to connect to an IIS website set to SSL require. We have already checked URLACTION_CLIENT_CERT_PROMPT  and it is set properly. We ran a trace on the IIS server and saw that the client(citrix server) is not sending the client credentials to the IIS server. We cleared all duplicate certs and we do not have too many root, or intermediate certs either. To top it all off this is an intermittent issue. A user will receive a 403 then open a new tab paste the URL and then receive the prompt for certs and get in.  Please help, this has been kicking our butts for a month now. I can provide anything you might need.

When trying to access https://paypaperbills.postbillpay.com.au/postbillpay/default.aspx I get the error message "This organization's certificate has been revoked." Only "Click here to close this webpage." is available to click on.

Running Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7.

This site is accessible from other computers.

I have tried clearing Internet Explorer cache, resetting advanced settings, and disabling "Check for publisher's certificate revocation".
