Outlook Web App in IE 10 freezing

Hi having a real problem when replying back to a message from Outlook Web App in IE 10

Every time I go reply back to a message and the reply window open’s up IE 10 freezes up. I have to use task manager to stop & close IE 10. I then restart IE 10 and let it restore me back to my outlook web app, log in and let the reply window open up, which almost immediately ask me do to I want to run Pen& Touch Component? If I say No I can reply back  If I say Yes I can sometime reply back.

How do I fix this? I don’t want to every time I need to reply back to an email have to close IE 10 and restart it to reply back to a message. I did not have this problem with the old IE 9 version

My operating System is Windows 7 SP1 x64, Exchange 2010 SP3

code signed activeX cab file add-on rejected with Unknown Publisher error only in IE 11.0 Windows 8.1 RTM

We are distributing a CAB file containing an ActiveX IE add-on that errors in IE 11.0 Windows 8 RTM.
The error is:

Internet Explorer Add-on Installer - Security Warning

Windows has found a problem with this file.

Name: filenamehere

Publisher: Unknown Publisher

The above comes up after the UAC prompt.

I am able to install this add-on in all other versions of IE, even IE10 on Windows 8, which is correctly signed and timestamped according to signtool.

When I click on the "Unknown Publisher" "link" a dialog comes up saying:

"The timestamp signature and/or certificate could not be verified or is malformed."

Our signer name is present, and the signing time is legitimate. The Countersignatures section lists "Starfield Services Timestamp Authority"

Is anyone else seeing this? If so, I hope this will get fixed before general public release assuming it's not something wrong with our code signing cert.

IE Script Error when Printing

Hi

I originally posted elsewhere but was advised to try this forum.

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie9-windows_7/ie-script-error-when-printing/ab9a80f8-02e5-4ba2-9c3e-0266bb31c831?tm=1365149413768#_self

I was reluctant to add fuel to the fire as there appear to be a lot of support requests regarding this error, however each KB article and suggested fix within has failed for me.

The problem is I get the following error when printing from IE9

An error has occurred in script on the page Line 2072 char 1 error unspecified error code 0 url res://ieframe.dll/previews.js

It should be noted that no matter which printer I select it gives the same error, this includes PDF printers and Microsoft XPS Doc Writer.

When I turn on debugging I see it break at the following line

if (Printer.startDoc(this._aaRect[1][0].contentDocument.URL))

This is happening on Windows 7 32 & 64bit machines
If I roll back to IE8 printing works fine.
If I upgrade to IE10 and press print nothing happens, no print or error message.

It may be unrelated but the only change I can think of that happened around a similar time was a Java update that I rolled out.

Just as an overview here is a number of things I have tried with no luck...
1: Your video card or video driver is outdated or corrupt.
Using latest version, tried rolling back with no change
2: You may not have printer permissions assigned
Tested and does not work even running as admin
3: Protected Mode is enabled for the Internet security zone of the web page
Turned off, no change
4: There is an issue with temporary folders on your user account and the Low folder under the %TEMP% location has been deleted
Low folder present, worked through fix anyway with no result
5: Disable script debugging
Done, no result
6: Test a webpage from another user account, browser, or computer
Another user account, same issue
Another browser, prints fine (firefox, chrome)
All computers in my domain have this problem
7: Verify that Active Scripting, ActiveX, and Java are not being blocked by Internet Explorer
Done, no result
8: Remove all temporary Internet files
Done, no result
9: Install the latest service pack and software updates for Internet Explorer
Done as mentioned with IE10 no error but still doesn't respond to print command~
10: Reset IE settings
Done, no result

It seems I have exhausted all articles I can find with no resolution.
I have also tried cleaning the registry, repairing windows and going over all group policy settings but this has not helped.

Any other ideas would be welcome.

Thanks

I recently upgraded IE from 9 to 10. When I try to download MS Visio files (.vsd format), it doesn't prompt me to Save as... but to Open it only. With other formats, its fine and I can save them... but not with the VSD files.

Please help in enabling this feature for .vsd file. Thanks!!

Setting Up Personalized settings command line

I have created a package to deploy IE 10 in our environment. All works well as far as deployment goes. That is until a user with the command line restricted.

After IE10 is installed, a locked down user logs in and a window shows up titled "Personalized Settings": Setting up personalized settings for: Internet Explorer  A command line opens saying: The command prompt has been disabled by your administrator. Press any key to continue...

I would love to know what IE is doing and how to stop this message from happening for each locked down user. Thanks!

CSS (webpage styling) not being read by IE 10

$

I've been having some weird issues with IE10 today and I'm at a bit of a loss. This morning, I could not navigate to Reddit specifically (Page cannot be displayed). I thought that was odd since I had heard nothing about it being down. I recalled an issue I had years ago when I could not navigate to some sites. I checked on one of my VMs and sure enough, I could view the site just fine.

I ran an ipconfig /flushdns and voila! I could go to reddit again, but the page looked odd. CSS styles were not being rendered by the browser, although this issue did not occur on other machines. Later on, Reddit appeared fine, but nowhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/ does not render the CSS styles for the page. When I check the F12 dev tools and click CSS it says "The Style sheet cannot be viewed because its source is in a different domain than the page".

I have tried RIES and the problem remains.... I'm not sure what's going on. TechNet library pages look wonky too, but the forums display fine. The pages I have the problem with display fine on another machine, also running IE10, so what could be wrong with my machine, that would cause the pages to not have style sheets applied?

I hope someone can help, because I'm stumped. Thanks.

I manage an Internet site "sefer-li.net" of which the homepage consist of one text page and several pages of links to different pdf files.
Mu computer works on WinXP sp3 and I till now I used the Internet Explorer 8 as browser for checking the site.
Today I found that on my this browser I can open only the first page (the text one) of my homepage. The browser sems to “load” the remaining pages but they do not show on the screen.
I have no problems opening other sites on IE8, and everything works as usual.
I tried to open my site with Mozilla Firefox browser and the Home opens all it pages in full.
Now I tried to open my site on another computer, also winXP and the same occurs – first page only an no more on IE8 and full on Firefox.
Then I found the source of the homepage on my HD (as “index. Htm”, checked it and uploaded to my host. But it didn’t help.
What can be done to IE8 in order to repair this problem?
Please advise

IE11 Server 2012 R2 NetFlix Error

$

Okay so I just did a fresh install of Windows Server 2012 R2 (Build 9600) (was running Server 2012) on my system approximately 2 days ago.  After getting all my drivers installed and basic applications I wanted to relax to a show on Netflix.  However, when I attempt to play a video I will see the buffering (different percentages each time) then it will stop suddenly and give the error below.

Whoops, something went wrong... Netflix Video Player Unavailable

Our apologies - we cannot find the right components to play Netflix.

Please ensure your version of Internet Explorer is the latest available.

Error Code: H7354

My first troubleshooting step was to search the internet and found nothing regarding that error code.  I did learn that when using IE11 with Netflix that Silverlight is not used.  However I attempted to install the latest version fromhttp://www.microsoft.com/silverlight (v5).  After doing so I still got the same error, but Netflix would now work in Mozilla FireFox and Google Chrome.

I searched Netflex and found http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/C/9/6C970550-32AB-4235-9CDD-7FC9DD848BBB/silverlight.diagcab which does some repairs on Silverlight.  This did not help.  I have Netflix in my "Trusted Sites" as "*.Netflix.com" as well.  I contacted Netflix support, but they were not able to help with this error and say that this is a Microsoft issue.

I contacted one of Microsoft's Support line who attempted to help me the best they could.  They attempted to remote into my system tried changing several settings, uninstalling and reinstalling Silverlight.  I have a work-around using another browser, but I would rather use Internet Explorer as in the past it works better.  I should probably note that I was running Internet Explorer 10 on my previous Operating System.

Can anyone help?

Note: I posted in this forum based on the recommendation from my original post...

Hi,

How do I control the IE 10 Document Mode settings using registry? Whenever I open few websites its not displaying correctly. I pressed f12 and checked the Browser mode and found that its 'Internet Explorer 10 Compatibility View'. But the Document Mode is showing 'Internet Explorer 7 Standards' and changing this to 'Standards' fix the issue. I want to force this to 'Standards' whenever I use IE10. Please help me with this.

Regards,

Tony

Can you deploy an IEAK build of IE9 that does not overwrite existing manual proxy entries.

I want to deploy an IEAK build of IE9 by group policy. However a lot of my users have a manual proxy entry - it's typed in - it is NOT deployed via group policy. In all my tests the IE9 installs and upgrades my IE8 but wipes the manual proxy entry. Is there any way around this?

thanks

File Transfer Manager Not Working on IE 11 - Win7

$

Hi Everybody,

after the IE11 has been installed on my system by windows update, the Microsoft File Transfer Manager (FTM) doesn't work anymore.

I think is because my system is 64bit and the IE11 runs always in 64bit mode even when it is started from "program files (x86)" folder.

I tried uninstall, reinstall and nothing.

I installed FTM by MSI file but without success.

I removed completely FTM from the system and acessed the Technet download site and the MSDN download site (to reinstall the activeX) but nothing happened.

Currently, I only can download files by direct download.

Any sugestions?

Internet Explorer 10 crashes on W7 SP1 x64 and can't uninstall :-(

I installed IE10 this morning; installation went fine and I rebooted.
After the reboot I started up IE and the moment it tries to load the default webpage it crashes.
I have run with extensions disabled; cleared all settings; reset settings;... nothing helps.

And to make matters worse; it's not in the list of installed applications; so something must have gone wrong during the install but not notify.
When I re-run the installer it says it can't run because there is a newer version on the system. :-(
So I am basically blocked.

This is the crash message:

Looked with Process Explorer and Process Monitor to see what actions were executed before the crash but it doesn't give any clues.

Hello Everyone,

Since I migrated over 100 PCs to an Active Directory from Novell Directory, I have a problem, when I want to open a local web application on Internet Explorer, it didn't open when I type the FQDN I haven't access, but when I type IP address I have access to this web application.

Did you have any idea for it. Thank you in advance for your help

Best regards

PHP Performance is really slow

I run a site on Server 2008 R2, with IIS and Sharepoint 2010. I have some PHP pages generating reports from an SQL2010 database server. These pages are included in SharePoint using Page Viewer webparts. When I access the pages through the webpart in SharePoint they typically timeout generating the report or they lock up the IE window and crash it. Some of the report pulls work though, especially if they only pull a very small amount of data from SQL. If they pull a large report it will take forever and eventually the "long running script" error pops up. Outside of sharepoint's page viewer the reports work better, but they're still considerably slower than say FireFox or Chrome. By slower I mean tortoise and the hare slower. I have used DebugBar in IE and I can't find anything that would explain the considerable difference in performance. Has anyone had experience with this problem? Any solutions out there?

Internet Explorer 11 is automaticall sending proxy cached credentials instead of using the basic auth popup

Having a lot of issues with the new explorer 11 but the most baffling is this:

Say a user has (against policy) checked the box on the basic auth box allowing IE to remember the password. In previous versions even though this is checked each time the proxy sends the 407 response the box would popup with the information entered. IE 11 is not doing this, it just responds to the 407 with the credentials that were saved and goes on. Now this is a REAL problem if a user with admin access has entered their info for one reason or another and missed the fact that the box was checked. And I can find no way to clear the cached credentials, deleting everything does not help nor no setting I can find including setting HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings DisablePasswordCaching = 1 (which never worked in Windows 7 but still popped up the auth box). The ONLY way I have found to clear the credentials is to have the user change their password so the password fails. As we are saddled with several large vendors requiring the use of IE I need to know how to fix this and keep it from ever happening again. It is the most unacceptable behavior I have ever seen from a company that specializes in unacceptable behavior in their software products

IE 11 settings change every hour or so

We do not use a proxy server and my account does not have any restrictions on my profile nor any GPO pushed down to affect my IE settings.  Ever since upgrading to IE 11, my settings under security > Internet is changing back to customer level and have too many restriction to go to basic websites like google.  This happens many times during the day (without a reboot).  I go back to Security > Internet click on Default Level apply OK then I'm alright for a while but then it goes back.  My Active X, java, download settings all go back to disabled.  This is incredibly annoying.

Https://google.ca also only displays  Goo as the icon is huge and cannot see the whole Google.

Something is seriously wrong.  I cannot go back to IE 10 as that caused so many issues with Flash I had to go back to 9.

IE 11 on Windows 7 x64 does not display FeedBurner feeds correctly

Dear All,

I have just installed Internet Explorer 11 on my Windows 7 x64 system. It all went smoothly except for certain feeds not displaying correctly. After a bit of investigation it seems FeedBurner feeds are the ones which do not work.

Any of the FeedBurner feeds I was subscribed to previously display a webpage instead of the standard feed view, and cannot be marked as read. Also, if I try to subscribe to a new FeedBurner feed, there is no "Subscribe to this feed" link to click on, only the same webpage.

I have also noticed that the only Medium.com feed I am subscribed to only displays the XML code of the feed, not the standard feed view. There is only one of those, so I cannot say if it is general or not; but the FeedBurner issue is general though.

Is this a general occurrence? If so, when can we expect a solution?

Thank you for your help.
