Hi,

We have an internal domain environment xyz.com.au and an external facing dns domainxyz.com

We are publishing both as proxy bypasses in IE 11 however attempts to resolve hosts in thexyz.com domain are not bypassing proxy unless xyz.com is the first entry in the bypass list.

eg.

- if we bypass "*.xyz.com;*.xyz.com.au", we can reach hosts in the xyz.com domain directly.

- if we bypass "*.xyz.com.au;*.xyz.com", we can't reach hosts in thexyz.com domain and we can see traffic for this domain is being send via the proxy.

Can anyone how proxy bypassing should be implemented for similar domains or explain the above behaviour?

Hi,

I am using ajax calls in a web application. The code works fine in all browsers apart from EdgeHTML 14.

Are there any new security features in the new Edge browser which will prevent responses using ajax/jquery not being interpreted correctly?

Even though a result of success is returned (which i can see the server responding with), the code drops into the 'error' logic.

Using any other browser, the servers response of 'success' is picked up correctly and the code continues to 'submitOrder'

Tried logging into other accounts but came back with the login page. Tried username and email with password with no success. This happened since the last update two days ago. today is 14th October 2016

I have an issue where I cannot open up any Office type document (.xlsx; .docx; etc) from OneDrive in Internet Explorer 11 using Office online applications. It starts to load, but the page remains blank. The same happens if I want to create a new document in any of the Office online applications from O365.

I figured out, that if I enable DOM storage in Internet options>advanced the applications work. But with the DOM storage enabled a few other applications fail to work. On SharePoint forms for example any type oflookup field loses its content and cannot be populated at all. If DOM storage is disabled the SharePoint works fine again, but the Office online applications don't start.

Is there anything that can be done so I don't have to reset the settings all the time, when I try to do one or the other thing? In Mozilla Firefox, both SP and O365 works perfectly.

I disabled all adds-ons, cleared cache and cookies, but unfortunately the issue persists.

The site is added to the trusted sites and I tried with compatibility mode as well, but no luck.

I got following result after running System File Checker:

Both files seem to be dlls for the graphics card, I guess those are not the root cause.

I reset IE again, enable DOM Storage and experience the same problem.

I have a customer site with about a dozen PCs and on the same day they all started getting a popup when opening IE. The popup is labeled "Security Alert" and says "The security certificate for this site has been revoked. This site should not be trusted."

I've scanned with Malwarebytes and with AVG business AV and nothing is found except for a few PUP registry entries. Sometimes after scanning the popups will stop for a while but they always come back.

No popups are seen when using Firefox or Chrome and it doesn't matter who is logged into what PC, the result is always the same. IE has been reset more than once. CCleaner has been run more than once to clear out temp files and cache.

The only common thing I can think of is that I believe the day before this started I deleted the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager software from their domain controller. They had been migrated off of SEP for about a year and have used 2 different managed AV products since then. I have found no trace of SEP on a PC which is what I expect. It was just the manager software on the server (which has been disabled since SEP use was discontinued) which was left.

Why uninstalling that would cause these security popups in IE on the PCs makes no sense and I have to believe it's just a coincidence.

The only resolution I've found by searching is to disabled checking for certificate revocation in IE. But I'm not going to do that as I don't think that's a good practice and that setting has always been enabled on these PCs so I'm sure that is not the cause of these popups suddenly appearing.

Does anyone have any idea what might cause this on a domain-wide scale?

HI

I have a bunch of user who have recently  been upgraded to IE11. IE now becomes unresponsive a lot and they have to close it form task manager to get it back.

I have checked event viewer and there seems to be no related entries to this. 

How do i go about troubleshooting what could be causing it?

It seems to be that these users have the same pages open when this happens, SharePoint and Oracle. 

User cant really seem to reproduce it on demand so i am trying to get them to alert me when it happens so i can see whats going on.

I looked online and everything said uncheck the internet explorer in control panel and I did. It now does not exist anymore.  Where can I go to re-download Internet Explorer 11 for windows 10 so I cent get this all working again?

I have searched everywhere and have not found any reference to my particular problem. It has happened on the last two laptops I have had and this one is brand new so it's not the computer. When I browse the internet or look in my photo files [I have a ton of photos], I use the touchpad and put the cursor in the scrollbar under the 'marker' [can;t think of the name] and each time I click it is supposed to move one page down. Inevitably on one of the clicks [doesn't seem to be the same one each time] the window jumps several pages down instead of just one. Same thing if I am going back up to the top. It's a little like the hyperspace mode in Asteroids, I never know where I am going to wind up. Page down or up doesn't do this. Also happens if I tap on the arrow under or over the scrollbar. I ahve tried just about every setting I know to change and it still happens. I am baffled....am I the only one who has this problem? Is there any way to change it?

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a basic form with an input element for email
2. Add autocomplete attribute with value "email" and name attribute with some random value (not email).
3. When filling this form, autocomplete doesn't work(no previously used values of emails are listed).


Actual results:

No previously filled values of email are listed even though we have provided autocomplete attribute as email.


Expected results:

Previously used values of emails should have been listed as we have provided the autocomplete attribute as email.

I am working on reinstalling all programs on my windows 7 home premium with SP1 for PC.  It has internet explorer installed, but several programs I try to install say I need to upgrade IE.  When I download the upgrade from teh microsoft web site, it says thanks for downloading, but I don't see where it downloaded to install it.  Please help. Thank you very much.

Hello,

SharePoint and other hyperlink .Jpg file opening in IE browser instead of Windows Photo Viewer.

So I want to avoid open .Jpg file in IE browser.

We have a website running on IIS7 and coded using PHP. We let users(Admin) to specify a value for session lifetime in admin page. So users will be automatically log out once it reaches/exceeds configured session lifetime(inactive). It works properly for some values say 15mins-2hrs but some users want it to be even more high. So they set it to 9000 mins but users are logged out automatically even before reaching 9000 mins.

My question: Is there any setting in IIS that is overriding session lifetime(inactivity)? May be it is true if it is a .NET website (I am just guessing) but ours is PHP based.
