When I visit several of my web sites in IE10 (Windows 8) I get a yellow warning "shield" to the right of the address bar and when I hover over this it says "Are you trying to visit this web site?". If I click on this shield it gives me options to "Report this website as safe" or "Report this website as unsafe".

I have these websites registered in Bing Webmaster, and clicking on Security/Malware it tells me "Bing did not find any harmful elements on your site." 

I need to find out why IE is telling the world that there's something wrong with my sites when Bing Webmaster tells me there's nothing wrong with them.

This will take you to a feedback page where you can indicate you are a site owner or representative. Follow the instructions and provide the information on this site to submit a site for review. 
To report feedback from the Internet Explorer Download Manager, Right-click on the blocked download and choose Report that this file is safe. This will take you to the feedback page. 
Once a dispute is submitted, a team of graders inspects the site in question. All disputes should be submitted through the website reporting process to ensure the quickest resolution.

The problems are: (1) my warning is yellow, not red (2) there is no "More information" link/button (3) Therefore I can't "report that this site contains no threats.

an example site is http://countrynet.com.au/

Furthermore, if I respond to the "Report this website as safe" process more than once I get this message " ...Error 
This web address (URL) has already been submitted in this browser session. If you are owner or representative of this website and are trying to access the site owner form, please close your browser, and then resubmit the form in a different browser session."

So this message refers to the "site owner form" which I am unable to find.

I am working on reinstalling all programs on my windows 7 home premium with SP1 for PC.  It has internet explorer installed, but several programs I try to install say I need to upgrade IE.  When I download the upgrade from teh microsoft web site, it says thanks for downloading, but I don't see where it downloaded to install it.  Please help. Thank you very much.

I cannot send out New emails in Hotmail. I cannot forward received emails in my Hotmail Account. I can read and delete. How can I respond to the emails that I receive and/or forward those that I want to forward.?

Hi All,

Could anyone please detail the difference between IE 11 on windows 7 and IE 11 on windows 10.

My organization has done lot of testing while moving from IE 8 to IE 11 on windows 7 and now they want to upgrade to windows 10.

However before moving to Win 10, they want to be sure that IE11 on Win 10 is exactly same as IE 11 on Windows 7.

I am not able to find any article on Microsoft website, which explains it.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a basic form with an input element for email
2. Add autocomplete attribute with value "email" and name attribute with some random value (not email).
3. When filling this form, autocomplete doesn't work(no previously used values of emails are listed).


Actual results:

No previously filled values of email are listed even though we have provided autocomplete attribute as email.


Expected results:

Previously used values of emails should have been listed as we have provided the autocomplete attribute as email.

IE11 can't handle CR and Line Feed correctly!

IE11 can't handle CR and Line Feed the correct way.

with IE11, all text is on One single Line, like this:

Of course I already tried with Compatibility View, but no difference.

So, what is wrong with IE11 and Edge, and what can be done about this in IE11?

Hi Techies,

We had faced were strange issue related proxy.  Which I want to share all.

In orgationasaion proxy settings are implemented registry group policy.

1) Proxy Enable

2) ProxyOverride

3) Proxy Server.

Today, when we made the changes as required by client in multiple location.  

All the users were not able to access tinternet allowed sites trough proxy.  When we check proxy settings ang proxy exception was empty.



Please see the above screenshot, when we checked what proxy is getting applied.

Later we analised that in proxy exception list *.google.com; https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/grouppolicy/2008/

As a example i have bolded "/" which was added after the URL. ie. microsofot.com/which was causing the proxy group policy was getting disappeared.  

After removing slash givng access to only microsoft.com instead "/" solved my problem.

Hope this will help in future someone.

Since installing KB3172605 on our client machines, we can't access the Cisco CM User page for our phone services. The site uses a self-signed SHA-1 certificate.

I found two workarounds.

1. Add the following registry value to lower the bit length from 1024 to 512:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\KeyExchangeAlgorithms\ClientMinKeyBitLength (value data 200)

This is obviously undesirable, because it lowers the security potential for all accessed sites.

2. Add the following registry value:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\KeyExchangeAlgorithms\Enabled (value data and key type doesn't seem to matter)

The above was referenced as a work around in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS15-055. A DWORD with the value of 0 should disable the Diffie-Hellman key exchange. A value of 1 should enable it.

I've learned the value doesn't matter. What is going on here? Is this a bug? What are the adverse effects of this?

 when I try to open ie or rather edge because my ie has disappeared it will not stay open when my computer updated I lost ie left edge click on e and window opens in blue screen then promptly closes

Hello,

I'am using standard HttpWebRequest's cache from the .NET framework box. That is using IE and *Temporary Internet Files* as a storage. On Windows Server I getting unhandled errors from WinInetCache (0x2ee4), however, it's working properly on my Windows 7 workstation. 

12004  WinInet Error Code     ERROR_INTERNET_INTERNAL_ERROR              An internal error has occurred.

What flow could raise that error in my case?

I have tried to load a few webpages while using IE 11 and they fail to load correctly. When I use Edge, they work just fine....why is this?

with reference to the matter cited above we want to first give the brief introduction for the need and benefit of this tie up for both of us.

 The Internet holds the enormous potential for development .Despite the immense growth of Internet usage, the penetration still remains low in India ,  because in countries like India  with strong regional languages ,  the availability of the majority content in English becomes a major barrier.

In India the majority of the content is available in English . but according to the data available only 300 million  people can understand English as medium of communication. English language still accounts for 56% of the content on the worldwide web, while in India , Indian languages account for less than 0.1% of the content. However, while internet in India is predominantly English, there is high potential for regional language content.

According to report by Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI). The report titled 'Proliferation of Indian Languages on Internet', states that 75% of the future growth of internet  will be from the rural users while only 16% growth will come from urban cities.

But the big question remains , how this growth will come . Because nobody will go and learn English just for using the internet. So the only option which remains is to make internet easy and available in the regional language.

We have a google map application. Mutual authentication is enabled at server side and applied CA signed certificate at server.

We analysed the pcap, server sends a certificate to client and client validated the server cert and client sends a client cert. Server is failed to validate the client cert.

Actually client is not sending proper certificate. Client is always sending certificate from Personal tab under certificates.

Can i perform mutual authentication using CA signed certificate in Internet explorer?

After a Windows 10 update I now get the error: 

"the ordinal 9 could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files (x86)iexplore.exe"

How can I fix this problem???

My Inspiron 15 Notebook,  Windows 7 , 64 bit : I finally was able to convert to one C: drive.  Had to upload it's old operating recovery disk.  So ended up with out-of-date older version of internet explorer which can not update to newer version because the Microsoft.com update site is being blocked.    Spent days on this just can't get out of catch 22 of being romped to update and downloading site preventing/blocking updates to the browser and the windows update.  Any Ideas?

My boss is talking about using a anonymous surfing program for our office computers. I've never heard of this. He mentioned something called TOR or a VPN network. What's the difference. What problems will we have? Is it really 100% anonymous?

Issue: within a RDS session to a 2012R2 RDS host, IE11 doesn't use the hardware GPU for graphics rendering. When using Google Chrome graphics rendering is done by the GPU fine (very much smoother with much less CPU load)

I've enabled the policy option 'Use the hardware default graphics adapter for all Remote Desktop Services sessions' to be able to make use of the GPU.

I've tested this behavior in two environments:

- Fully updated WS2012R2 with RDS role installed. Running as VM on a ESXi 6.0 host with NVIDIA GRID K1. vGPU (K140q profile) added to this VM. Installed latest NVIDIA drivers.

- Clean installed WS2012R2 without RDS role installed. Running as VM on a XenServer 7.0 host with Intel Iris Pro 580 GPU passed through to the WS2012R2 VM. Latest Intel drivers installed.

When using IE11 from a 'console session' (e.g. uVNC ) graphics rendering is being done by hardware. It seems IE refused to use GPU when running within a RDS session.

The option 'Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering' isn't enabled (of course ;) )

Any idea how to get working this?
