Additional details about this problem are documented by an IE Internals blogger at the following url:

Whenever we copy and paste a formatted text which has number and bulletins in it, the paste functionality losses the formatting of text and re-orders the numbers are 1,2,3 and 1,2,3 instead of 1,2,3,4,5,6. The editor is developed using ExtJs and the copy paste functionality is done through Java code. Please do need urgent help on this.
Thank You,

IE 11 (with the latest June 2016 patches) on Windows 7, Windows 10, and the latest Windows 10 Insider Build (14385) reports that it is IE 7, thus causing many websites to display incorrectly.
As evidence, using the site, http://useragentstring.com/, IE 11 is sending the following string: "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; Trident/7.0; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; InfoPath.3)". This suggests that IE11 is telling websites that it is Internet Explorer 7.0.
I reported this on July 1st (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-networking/when-using-ie-11420105860-google-calendar-says/df201160-6c34-4899-91b7-11f188e4b7a2?auth=1) and it doesn't appear to have been taken seriously!
Our IT folks are asking us to abandon IE and switch to Chrome. Please
PLEASE TAKE THIS BUG REPORT SERIOUSLY!
I cannot seem to get HTML5 video working in IE11 on Server 2012 R2, in RDSH mode (Remote Desktop Session Host).
I have the Desktop Experience feature installed, and have tried adding the sites (e.g. youtube, vimeo) to trusted sites and cranked the security down to the lowest (medium-low) for trusted sites but nothing. I don't really want to have to use trusted sites anyway...
On YouTube I am getting the HTML5 right-click menu over the video area, but no video plays - just a buffering symbol spinning and then a black area where the video should be.
I tried changing the user agent to IE10 via the F12 tools, but no change.
I ran the suite of tests from peacekeeper.futuremark.com and most of the stuff worked, e.g. all the animations, but none of the video, especially videoCodecH264 showed as N/A.
www.w3.org/2010/05/video/mediaevents.html is giving "unknown error" in the video playback window.
I can make YouTube work by adding it to compatibility view, where it then drops back to using Flash player. This does not work for Vimeo.
I have minimal policy settings set on these servers at the moment.
Any suggestions would be most welcome, thanks in advance.
Web shortcuts don't open from Desktop since Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
With Internet Explorer ‘Enhanced Protected Mode’ switched on, when a shortcut to a webpage is opened from the Desktop, the shortcut doesn’t open. Internet Explorer just shows a blank window.
With Internet Explorer ‘Enhanced Protected Mode’ switched back off, the shortcuts open as expected.
Was OK before Anniversary Update, so something in the update breaks compatibility with Internet Explorer ‘Enhanced Protected Mode’.

Hi everybody.
Is there a way to reinstall corrupted active x system file? My local application deployed into this machine does not play swf files. This app installed on other W10 machine and run will play the swf file without issue. But when run on this specific machine will give the error:
************** Exception Text **************
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)
at System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.CoCreateInstance(Guid& clsid, Object punkOuter, Int32 context, Guid& iid)
at System.Windows.Forms.AxHost.CreateWithLicense(String license, Guid clsid)
And my suspect is a corrupt active x since swf would not play on IE.
Anybody who could help me how to reinstall active x? This was very simple prior to W10.
I've read about reset and refresh for W10 but don't know the effects on an upgraded W10 machine. Does it uninstall all programs including those installed BEFORE the upgrade? Or does it just uninstalls programs installed AFTER the upgrade?
Thanks in advance for some help.
I'm using IE11 on an HP ZBook 15 G2 which has built-in Intel HD 4600 and NVidia quadro k2100m graphics. The OS is windows 7 enterprise 64 bit. I've tried configuring ie11 to run using the intel and the NVidia graphics, but it didn't make any difference. I've also tried numerous versions of intel and NVidia driver versions and there was no difference. There has been a full OS reinstallation along the way and that didn't make any difference either, so I'm assuming this is a problem with IE11.
The problem is that the display area within the window freezes, eve though the IE11 process seems to be operating. I assume that because if I refresh the tab, I can see the address bar update. I can also see the task manager thumbnail update. Occasionally, if I suspend and resume the computer, the problem goes away, but usually, I just kill all of the IE11 processes and reopen them. This is very annoying and I'm wondering if there is a fix.
Is there any way to avoid/ bypass "File Download Dialoge Box" in IE8? Actually I have a website hosted on Windows Server at local intranet having power point slide shows (.ppsx). Clients (having Windows 7 with IE8) accessing those slide shows come across File Download prompt. There is requirement to avoid/ bypass that open/ save file popup. Please guide me to do the needful.
It is pertinent to mention that I had tried all the possible ways available at internet through google/ bing. Those inclues (but not limited to)
- Customising IE Internet Options -> Security Settings
- Adjusting IE Advanced Settings
- Registry Editing
- Group Policy Settings
None of these settings work at all. So please dont waste your time suggesting above stated solutions. This must be something out-of-box solution through breaking the ground.
Waiting to read from someone very genius please.

We have had an issue whereby sites explicitly listed in our Trusted Sites in IE11 where still being rendered in compatibility mode. Some network traces show the user-agent string being sent include MSIE7 7.0 and hence this makes sense. So it seems the browser is putting the site into compatibility mode. Digging around on the web we found this for IE8:
So it seems that this still applied for IE11. Now, we can work around by tweaking the options for automatic placement of sites into the intranet zone but we don't want to do that as there are modified security settings in the zones and we need to keep sites in their zone assignments.
So, I have a couple of questions:

Hi,
Existing SSRS report is working fine in IE 6 & 7, but not working correctly with IE8 Windows 7 Envrionment.
We have a Table in our body content of SSRS and we have placed ImageBox in the cells. This ImageBox will display images based on the condition. Its something like a status chart.
In IE8, the images are enlarged and are not fitting into the required size.
