Hello. I'm unable to find the current location of the installer for Internet Explorer 10 x64 (IE10-Windows6.1-x64-en-us.exe). Until recently it was available herehttp://download.microsoft.com/download/C/E/0/CE0AB8AE-E6B7-43F7-9290-F8EB0EA54FB5/IE10-Windows6.1-x64-en-us.exe , however it's no longer available there.
Thank you.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro (64) and stock IE11 with "Install new versions automatically" enabled.
My current version is: 11.545.10586.0IS
What does IS suffix mean?
I'm having a problem with font-awesome.io, and wondering if "IS" suffix have to do anything with it. Specifically, icon's on font-awesome.io won't render unless I turn off "Enable Protected Mode" in Internet Settings. On my other computer without "IS" suffix - FA is rendered fine with or without protected mode enabled.
Is there an option to install "non-IS" version?
I installed IE using "Programs and Features" -> "Turn Windows features on or off".

HI!
The idea is to create a task to install the update
I have installed the latest .ADMx and .ADML gpo-files in AD and set Internet Explorer 10 User Prefernces so that TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 are checked.
BUT: When GPO is applied, only TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 is enabled i IE 11. Registry shows:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
"SecureProtocols"=dword:00000a00
If I check TLS 1.0 manually, registry shows:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
"SecureProtocols"=dword:00000a80
Runing gpupdate /force resets to TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 only. (dword:00000a00)
Also tried to use the Computer policy "Internet in control panel\Advanced" and that makes all TLS checed, but TLS 1.0 is NOT working as it should, some webpages pop ask me to check TLS 1.0-1,2. Also enabling SSL2.0 and 3.0 makes these pages work, but then som use RC4 as encryption and that is not desired.
A bug or what? Tested on several machines with Win10, both 1511 and 16087, same results.
Enabling TLS 1.0/1.1/1.2 via Regedit ("SecureProtocols"=dword:00000a80) is working to the point when te GPO is applied again and therefore not an option.
Hey,
I have a lot of Win7 SP1 PCs here on which I receive an WMI timeout error during Internet Explorer 11 installation.
Error is the following (always with the same hotfix):
WMI query for Hotfixes timed out. Query string: 'Select HotFixID from Win32_QuickFixEngineering WHERE HotFixID="KB2729094"' Error: 0x00040004 (262148).If I run the same query in powershell it takes long, but it ends with success.
Get-WMIObject -Query $('Select HotFixID from Win32_QuickFixEngineering WHERE HotFixID="KB2729094"') -Namespace "ROOT\CIMvWhat I already tried was to reinstall the hotfix.
sc config winmgmt start= disabled net stop winmgmt /y %SYSTEMDRIVE% >nul cd %windir%\system32\wbem For /f %%s in ('dir /b *.dll') do regsvr32 /s %%s wmiprvse /regserver winmgmt /regserver net start winmgmt for /f %%s in ('dir /b *.mof *.mfl') do mofcomp %%sBut all without success. If I reistall the device installation works without problems, but it is not possible for me to reinstall nearly all my devices newly.
Hi Guys,
I've been looking all over the place to find any documentation on just how to add my intranet SharePoint Search engine mechanism as a search provider in IE9. My goal is to add SP as the default search provider for all my users.
I welcome any help anyone provide with this.
Thanks in advance.

Are there any risks having IE 8 installed on servers (2008 R2) if it is not used for browsing the internet? Even though it is not used, should we still be looking to upgrade it to the latest version of IE across our server estate?
Thanks
I am having an issue with end users who used to be able to export from IE 9 to Excel 2010 on a Windows XP machine. When they were upgraded to Windows 7 and IE 11 the menu option was no longer there. I added it back in with a registry fix, but now when they right click and export to Excel, they get an error message that Excel could not retrieve the data along with a URL box that says http:///
Any ideas? The klugy workaround is to copy the link, paste it into the empty box, click go, input their credentials again, then finally the data comes over. Not a good workaround compared to before.
Thanks
Chaim
Hi,
When our website users click on an html attachment embedded on a web-page in IE9, the download manager will not display the "Open" option. It will only display "Save" and "Cancel" which our users don't like, having to save the html document in a folder to open it. Whereas, when downloading attachments like pdf, word etc. all three options are displayed.
Is there any setting to tweak , which will display all the 3 options for HTML attachments as well?
Hello,
For every new user on Windows 2012 R2 remote desktop server the Internet Explorer shortcut icon in Start Menu opens Microsoft Edge browser.
I unpin it from Start Menu, search for "iexplore" and pin in to Start Menu and Taskbar. The icon on the Taskbar opens Internet Explorer, but the icon in Start Menu opens Edge again.
There are no group policies applied to the server.
How do I fix this?
Thanks for your help.
Good morning ladies and gentlemen,
Over the past couple of days I have been troubleshooting a problem were a web based HTTPS secured password manager hosted internally on a RedHat server would only work from some workstations. After some investigation I identified KB3172605 as a cause for this problem. I am by no means a programmer or web expert - but after installing this update the website started working again. There is a Microsoft support article mentions something about TLS and SHA being effected. We will have to reinstall this update at some point again, and I was hoping I could get some guidance on how to make this website workwith the update installed.
My first thought was to maybe exchange the self-signed certificate on the web service I am trying to reach, but in my organization that is quite a process - so before I start with this maybe you could give me some pointers?
Thank you for your help!
Best Regards!
The Edge browser's security capabilities are touted as being so advanced as to not need to incorporate EMET.
Does Edge currently (or will it) offer the same Certificate Pinning capability (aka Certificate Reputation / SmartScreen) that EMET currently offers?
Will EMET be supported in IE11 (and future versions of IE, if IE continues to exist)?
