In my company we have a GPO set in our domain to automatically open our homepage when a user logs on. However I have 2 users that after updates have been pushed and forces the pc to reboot at 2:30 am when they logon they get around 17 instances of the homepage open automatically instead of just 1.  If they reboot and log back in then they just get one as well.  Then when the next batch of updates gets pushed it happens again. The many windows open ONLY AFTER updates have been applied.  Its windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit with IE 11.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have created customized IE11 with Full installation Package option and selected feature are (Setup Customization & Internal Install) and then after synchronization with internet, I am adding Prerequisite updates in custom components. Then i have selected Completely silent installation with No restart. <o:p></o:p>

I have tried installing the below customized files manually on Win7 machines, but it is not getting installed & also there is no error message.

Has anyone else noticed that there is an issue with pac files (ZSCALER) and version 11.306.10586.0? We have plenty of users on 11.0.10240.16841 and everything is working properly. Is there somewhere I can go on MS site to see bugs for this version?

Computers are migrated from one domain to another domain and IE 11 sound disabled. I had to manually enable them as show in picture. There's no GPO to disable sound on IE at destination domain (where computers are migrated into). All PCs are Windows 7, what's causing this and how to prevent it?

I have one remote customer (with many users) that is having a problem with my company's landing page, andnot experienced by any of our other customers. Some <input> control is disabled, the problem is occurring with a couple users, and it is intermittent, and I cannot reproduce it at my desktop. They are using IE-9.

This <input> control is managed by AJAX, but it should disabled only after submitting; there by prevently back-paging and try re-submitting.

One thought is it could be how a particular user's IE-9 browse's configuration is setup.

Is there a way to export an IE-9 browser's configuration of a browser that is experiencing my problem?

Any other suggestion would be greatly appreciate. And no, I do not have a tool that can perform remote desktop access.

have always used ie (win.7) but i bought a new pc that---of course---came with win 10. after a months use i started getting script errors-finally to a point ie was froze up (could not click on anything-nothing worked). i spent hours searching the web for answers-on my old pc-tried everything-nothing worked-gave up and went to chrome-dont like it-tried firefox-dont like it.

We are on a domain, but a lot of our people work in the field. We are trying to find something other than a GPO.

Our Medical records system requires specific IE settings. I cannot manually change all settings now due to existing GPO's that are in place. If I were to get a clean install computer not on our domain and manually set the IE settings as needed, can I then export those settings and have those exact settings apply on all domain users computers? If so, how do I do that? I need specific steps so since I am not well versed in this. I saw one post where someone said, import/export file, then export the file. That doesn't help. How do I do that? What type of file is then output? How do I apply that file to other users computers. Example, we need trusted sites zone edited, but cannot, because there are existing GPOS. I just want to set IE settings, export those settings and then have them apply to all domain accounts.

After upgrading to IE 11 from IE 9 with all prerequisite patches, I still see IE 9 outlined when i look for the version of it by clicking on About internet explorer, whereas when i look for registry key version "HKLM/software/Microsoft/Internet Explorer" it shows 9.11.9600.18282 which to my knowledge refers to IE 11.

In order to resolve the issue i tried removing IE 11 completely by executing below command which did not help

Along with it i tried following things to resolve the issue which did not help as well

- Uninstalled IE 11 patches and IE 11 itself from add/remove features

- Ran sfc /scannow

- Ran Update readiness tool

After doing above, when i again install IE 11 it still shows IE 9 as shown in below images.

We have a mission critical program that now crashes because of the patch KB3160005 that was uploaded to all of our Windows 7 Professional computers on 6/14/16. When the employee tries to open a PDF in this program, IE11 hangs and the PDF will not open either. IE11 must be shutdown. Our work around is to remove KB3160005 and then check for the updates and when it appears to hide it and this fixes the problem.

This update is shown to be critical according to TechNet and so I would like to know which one of the 5 patches incorporated into the patch is actually causing the problem and what we can do to fix it and not lose the update by removing it.

Windows 10 Professional will sometime exhibit the same issues with the same mission critical program, but the patch KB3160005 is not on any of the systems I have looked at, so I have to merely reset the browser and then all is well after that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated because this is taking up all of the helpdesk's time resetting this patch and making our employees efficient again.

I have a clean install of Win7 Professional (32-bit).. installed Adobe Reader 9.. installed Win7 SP1 and all necessary and recommended updates.. updated Reader to v9.5.5 (this is the only/latest version supported by some of our company software).. There is nothing else installed on this machine.  

The problem: When I open IE10, click on a pdf link (the pdf displays properly in the browser), click the Print icon in the upper-left, click Properties in the Print dialog, the Properties dialog comes up and then freezes.  The tabs, buttons, and mouse pointer graphically change, but clicking does nothing.  Clicking the underlying Print dialog box makes the Properties box flash, so it's not totally locked, but just unresponsive to clicks.  The only way to close the dialog box is to stop the iexplore process in taskmgr.  This happens with any printer selected (tested on local and network printers, and even MS XPS Doc Writer, and Fax). 

I can save the pdf and print from Reader directly with no problem, and I understand that I can deselect "Display pdfs in browser" in Reader options, however, those workarounds won't satisfy the users.

I'm at a loss as to what could be causing this or how to proceed further in troubleshooting this..  Can anyone lend a hand please?

However, IE 11 does not show the page to enable Microsoft Update but shows a useless and unrelated help message:

How am I supposed to enable the optional Microsoft Update service now?

the current cumulative update KB3161608 blocks older HTTPS sites on IE11, which are not having current TLS/Keylength/Ciphers standards.
This may be reasonable for the Internet, but in our company's intranet it's a desaster, as older programs/applications we are connecting to cannot simply get updated (e.g. Dell DRAC access on older server).
Now we only get a "This page can't be displayed" error.

Two questions:
1. Is this a bug or planned behaviour?
2. Does anyone know what we can do to restore the ability to connect to these sites per IE11 (with KB3161608 installed)?
