Hi. I use gmail in IE 10. When I am replying to an email the page jumps when I press enter or delete a line of text. I can confirm that this problem exists on multiple PCs running Windows 8 and 7.

Here are the things I have tried, none of which have worked:

1. Restart browser and computer

2. Clearing cache and cookies

3. Disabling all add-ons, toolbars, and extensions in IE

4. Disabling all labs in gmail

5. Disabling my anti-virus

Here are two workarounds, none of which are particularly nice:

1. Zoom way out so that that page cannot move. This is really bad to do on my tiny netbook

2. Enable compatibility view in IE. This causes several minor glitches in gmail, but the worst is that gmail brings up a red banner warning me that I have enabled compatibility view every time I open gmail (thanks gmail...)

Any advice beyond what I've tried so far would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have a remote client that encounters the following message using OWA-"The file contained a virus and has been deleted". The range of impact includes all files.  Note, the end user has no issue when using an alternate mail systems and browser based client with the same attachment(s).

The device in question is Windows 8 with the IE 10 browser.

Ever since we upgraded from IE8 to IE9, when pulling my reports from a website and choosing to print them or print preview them they always print out a large amount of blank pages. The pages just have the address of the website at the very top and then the page number count.

Why is this doing this and how can I fix it?

So far I've reset IE to default settings

I cleared temp files and internet temp files

Made sure the low folder and integrity level is set in temp folder.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

We have a problem where IE opens multiple windows when searching in Google. As a result of this we are receiving Google sorry page informing us that Google is receiving automated search requests from our public IP. Is there any quick fix to this problem apart from restoring and reset setting  in IE.

Is anybody else facing this issue.?

Hello,

when saving a file to a network-drive (nas) i get the following error after downloading :

I have added the NAS already to the trusted sites (using GPO). But still same problem.

Howto fix this?

I have removed the ASK toolbar from a Windows 7 machine with IE10.  I can now reset the homepage which is fine for that session, it changes back to ASK.Com if I close the browser and reopen.  I have removed all traces of ask from the manage add ons feature.  I have also run the microsoft malicious software removal tool which finds nothing.  I have also searcged the registry for any mention of ASK, and removed them.  I know this is harmless but I would like to remove whatever script resets this setting.

How can I remove the reveal password eye icon from my Window 7 Home Premium system. I have tried the instructions in "How to remove the reveal password eye icon in IE 10 in Win 7 Home Premium", but the instructions did not lead me in the right direction.

Hello,

After searching the Web I see that this is a common issue, but I couldn't find the solution yet that worked for me.

I'm running IE 9 on Windows 7 64 bit. The problem started after I upgraded from IE 8 to 9.

If the site doesn't respond quickly, the IE displays the message that the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". Troubleshooting connection doesn't do any good. The other browsers like Firefox don't have this problem, so for specific sites I have to use Firefox.

This is definitely a timeout issue, only sites that are not responding within a few seconds are affected. How to fix this? Can I increase he timeout for IE?

I've tried to use compatibility mode, increase the number of retries in the registry, run IE with no add-ons - no luck.

We've recently upgraded to IE 10, and I'm encountering an issue where IE 10 is losing focus after using basic authentication to log into a website.   I am currently using no 3rd party addons for Internet Explorer, and I've been able to replicate this on both internal and external websites.   Currently running Windows 7 64-bit.  Anyone have any insight into why this might be happening?

I need help with this problem. i can't do anything at all with Internet Explorer,I was using IE8  This problem is for a different computer.  Not this one. I keep getting this error.  What can i do to fix this problem. Please Help.

Hi

I have a Windows 7 enterprise 64 bit laptop with Internet Explorer 10. (Complete version 10.0.9200.16438 Update versions: Pre-Release(KB2718695)) which is for 64 Bit.

I have JRE 1.7.0_25-b17 (64 Bit) installed in my machine. When I invoke the http:// www . java.com / en / download / testjava.jsp page. The applet is not invoking.

I have tried the below options:

Internet Explorer:

Click Tools and then Internet Options
Select the Security tab, and select the Custom Level button
Scroll down to Scripting of Java applets
Make sure the Enable radio button is checked


Java Control Panel

In the Java Control Panel, click the Security tab.
Select the option Enable Java content in the browser.

But the applet is not invoking.

If I uninstall the 64 bit JRE & install a 32 Bit JRE, the applet is invoking.

I have tried with 64 bit JRE, with IE 8.0 & 9.0, the applet is invoking. In case of IE 8.0 & 9.0 it displays two Internet Explorer options in my start up one with 64bit & one with out.

But IE 10.0 64 bit does not show such option.

Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

Dear Team,

IE9 is not launching on my system.

I have tried clean boot

I have tried uninstalling .. it says " An error as occured. Not all of the updates were successfully uninstalled"

Please advise

supuestamenta is enabled ie the download, but I see that is not working,

gpo not applied, or anything at the domain level ....

Windows 7 64 bit.

Trying to install IE9. We tried it over SCCM, but that failed. I'm trying to do it manually now.

I've tried it with AD administrator and local administrator.

We have IE8 on the machine. I've tried to empty windows/temp with IE9 related folders/files, but that didn't have any effect.

I've been trying to google this problem for quite a while now with no success.

Any ideas? :)

I am having problems accessing one particular website running IE8 under Win XP. It sits there spinning for ages and eventually it reports a '504 Gateway' error.

I can access the website using the Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons) shortcut and I get connected immediately.

Thinking it was therefore a conflicting add-on I started disabling them manually. I ended up disabling all of them but it still made no difference; I kept getting the Gateway error. I therefore concluded that there must be an add-on still loaded that IE wasn't telling me about.

So, the question is: how is it possible that I can disable all add-ons manually, and for IE not to work in the same mode as theInternet Explorer (No Add-Ons) shortcut?

                I am getting this message when I am trying to go to the Food City website. "Your cache directory does not exist or does not have full write permissions. Change the permissions of /home/www/htdocs/cache so that it has full write access (CHMOD 777 on Linux)" Does anybody know how to fix this?

Hi All, 

I am using IE browser and i see that the latest IE 11 version, has the userAgent string without MSIE!!!

And most of the time, i used to detect IE browser name and version using this string, using  regular expression string to match. 

Can anyone tel me , why this(MSIE) has been removed from the useragent? and also BrowserDetect.IE will return as false!!

I need help in detecting the IE version of the browser....

We are working towards moving from the legacy browser configuration using "Internet Explorer Maintenance" Proxy Configuration in group policy to using preferences and a PAC file. When a user logs on they get the new PAC file and then run for a while. The next time that group policy applies, the "User automatic configuration script" field reverts to blank / unchecked, and the legacy proxy server settings reappear and are enabled. If we just do a gpupdate and close and open the browser, the problem goes away. I completely deleted the old IE policy that was pushing the IE configuration using Internet Explorer Maintenance, and I have confirmed the correct settings to disable the proxy settings and use the PAC file are in the XML for preferences and enabled.

Any ideas on why this might be happening?

Clients are Windows 7 SP 1 with IE8. Group policy is being edited with Server 2008 R2 with IE10, though server 2008 R2 with IE9 has also been tried.
