NoFrameMerging Issue with Internet Explorer 11.0.27

0
0

Good day,

Since the update to Internet Explorer 11.0.27, Our I.E has been ignoring the NoFrameMerging on occasion. This has led to several session sharing events that have taken place. This causes havoc with information written into our Database. Is this a common issue and what can be implemented to stop this from happening?

TLS 1.2 fails with Client FIN after Server Certificate - TLS 1.1 has no problem

Scenario: IE browser ends TLS 1.2 handshake prematurely resulting in a page cannot be displayed for the user. Change the browser settings by removing TLS 1.2, leaving TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.1 handshake completes without a problem.

TLS 1.2 Process - Fail scenario

      • The client sends a "Client hello" message to the server, along with the client's random value and supported cipher suites.
      • The server responds by sending a "Server hello" message to the client, along with the server's random value.
      • The server sends its certificate to the client for authentication and may request a certificate from the client. The server sends the "Server hello done" message.
      • The Client sends ACK for Server Certificate
      • The Client sends FIN/ACK
      • The Server send FIN
      • The Server sends FIN/ACK
      • The Client sends ACK

    Result Page cannot be displayed

No client error event in logs (looking for information to enable additional logging  or increase verbosity)

Agreed upon Cipher: Cipher Suite: TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (0x009f)

    Cert Chain

    • Algorithm Id: 1.2.840.113549.1.1.11
    • Algorithm Id: 1.2.840.113549.1.1.11
    • Algorithm Id: 1.2.840.113549.1.1.5

While TLS 1.2 fails on IE 9,10 and 11:

    • TLS 1.1 has no issues
    • Firefox TLS 1.2 has no issues
  1. Chrome using TLS 1.2 has no issues

      • Internet Explorer Fails to Install or Upgrade

        Hi All,

This questions has been asked 1000 times, but nothing I've read and tried works to upgrade to IE 11.  We have approx. 30 HP laptops that cannot install/upgrade to IE 11.  This includes upgrading to IE 10 as well.  Will not install on either Win 7 x64 or x86.

Installation gets to the end, but fails with "Install could not be finished".

        Errors Codes: 9c47 and 9c59

        I have tried the following.

        - Ran the Win 7 Readiness Tool for x86 and x64

        - Tried removal of any existing IE packages with DISM.  Access Denied.

        - Shut off and removed antivirus protection

        - Clean-boot, then attempt to install.

        - Looked at IE install logs.  Nothing stood out.

        - Upgrade or install IE 11 via, download quick installer, full installation, Windows Updates and WSUS.  Originally sent out via WSUS.

        - Updated laptop video driver.  Sounds weird but actually was able to see a notice saying, "...the following programs need to be shutdown...", with a list of programs to close.  Not viewable before updating the video driver.

        - sfc /scannow

        - Reset Software Distribution folder

        - Started win installer, win module installer, and win updates services.  Ran install and got same failure.

Rebuilding one of our laptops takes 2-3 days due to drive encryption requirements and specialized software needs to be installed manually by each user.

        Anything else I can check?

        Thanks,

        Vince

I bought a new Dell laptop with windows 10 preinstalled. I use a security program that only uses IE.  I cannot get IE to open in Windows 10.  It keeps trying to open but never does.

Internet Explorer not using PAC File

        Hi All,

We've recently had an issue for a few users where Internet Explorer isn't using the PAC file correctly. It shows as being configured correctly, Chrome is setup to use system proxy settings & works correctly with the PAC file.

Watching network traffic via ProcMon shows that IE does infact go to the server hosting the PAC file first, but then proceeds to try browsing directly to the internet rather than via the correct Proxy server.

        • Have confirmed that pasting the PAC file location into the address bar downloads the file (although it has an _ instead of . in the filename... is that a clue?)
        • Same issue occurs when running IE as another user (right click/run as other user)
        • Have cleared IE Temp Files
        • Removed the PAC configuration, restarted IE & reset the PAC location
        • Restarted WinHTTP Autoconfig service (I believe this is moreso for WPAD, though have seen it help in the past)
        • Setting the proxy server manually works, its just when trying to use the PAC file that is a problem

Where should I be looking next? I'm at a loss...

        Cheers
        Jason

Internet explorer 11 homepage not responding

        Hello Team,

We have IE 11 v11.0.27 (KB3124275) installed on all our machines (OS: Windows 7 SP1).

We have laptop, desktops, VDI-P, VDI-NP, HSD environment however issue is only on Persistent machines.

When we launch IE 11 it goes to not responding state (this is a random behavior not on every launch it freezes)

Based on our observation this issue occurs with below combination:

        - Homepage is intranet site (which gives option to users at very first time to select startup page and then next time onwards it redirects to that selected page automatically).

        - Only on persistent machines (laptops, VDI-P)

        - menu bar ticked.

As a workaround if we untick menu bar, everything just work fine.

But we are not able to find the root cause why Unticking "menu bar" resolves problem.

        Any help would be helpful.

        Hi All,

Is it possible to set up a Homepage for when on the corporate networkand for when not on the corporate network through GPO?

We want it so that, when users are on the corporate network their homepage is our local intranet and when they are out of the office it can be set to something like google.

        Thanks

        Internet Explorer 11 Upgrade Prompt

        Good afternoon.

I work on a PC running Windows 7 and I use Internet Explorer 10. I need to use IE10 as certain applications I access on a regular basis are not compatible with IE11 (Even in compatibility viewer). Recently I performed some Windows Updates on my machine. Whenever I boot the PC and start IE the first time it will open an additional tab requesting I upgrade to IE11. I wish to disable this automatic reminder and I believe it is linked to a Windows Update to IE.

Could someone advise on how to get this disabled/removed?

        Removing IE10 from Server 2012

Is there a way to completely remove IE10 from Server 2012. I am not replacing it with another version. I just want it gone or disabled on the server.

Where is the Internet Explorer 10 download?

Well, I’ve wasted another perfectly good hour looking for a way to download Internet Explorer 10. I can’t find it anywhere.  IE 7, 8 ,9, 11 no trouble. 10 though it appears has dropped off the face of the earth.  Does anyone have a link into an official download location for IE 10?  via premier or mvls would be fine as well.

Internet Explorer keeps changing proxy settings

        Hi,

I'm facing a strange problem on a lot of Windows machines at my company: the Internet Explorer proxy settings keeps changing.

The proxy settings are being set by a Domain GPO, but on several machines the proxy settings revert back do "Automatically detect settings" from time to time. I'm pretty sure that the GPO is rightly configured. I just need to rungpupdate /force to correct the proxy settings. And all machines have a up-to-dated antivirus software installed.

Now the strange thing: while using Procmon to find out which process changed the AutoConfigURL registry key, I found thatiexplore.exe process executed by itself a RegDeleteKey command to clear this key.

I've tried disabling several add-ons, but the problem is still happening. Does anyone know if there is a way to discover "what" inside IE is removing the proxy configurations? Or if something is invoking IE to do this nasty job? :P

Is Internet Explorer 11 32-bit available for Windows 2008R2 64-bit?

        0

We need internet explorer 11 32 bit version running under Windows 2008R2, which is a 64 bit based OS. This is because all or thin client based applications running under the browser on the local IIS Web server, are designed for the IE 32 bit browser only.

The only IE11 option available to download from Microsoft's site for Windows 2008R2 seems to be only 64-bit based.

I have read some posts that disabling the EPM option will enable 32 bit Tabs to work on IE11 64-bit browser, but then I've read contradicting information that EPM should be enabled for this, so this is not clear.

However, we would rather install a true 32-bit IE11 version instead, all the way 32-bit, not only for the tabs, to ensure our 32 bit browser based thin client apps will work well.

Where may I download an installer for IE11 32-bit for Windows 2008 R2?

        Hello,

        http://servername:7001/console

        https://servername:7002/console

        http://servername:7001/amcwebui

        the two others

        http://servername:7001/amcwebui

        https://servername:7002/amcwebui
