IE 11 works with Office 365 embedded Video only for Administrator

Using Office 365 Video, I have embedded a Video into our Moodle Virtual Learning Environment. The video says to login as shown in the image below. In Chrome (and running IE11 as an administrator) when clicking the login button a pop up appears where you can enter your Office 365 credentials. Once complete this pop up disappears and the video begins to play. On my Internet Explorer 11 (running as a normal user) install the pop up is much larger and doesn't disappear once logged in, nor does the video load - it just stays with the same login button shown below. Refreshing the browser makes no difference. I have reset Internet Explorer to defaults and even after a reboot does not change its behaviour. However after visiting the Office 365 support forum (https://community.office365.com/en-us/f/154/t/430234) they suggested running IE11 as an administrator - THIS WORKED! So my question is, how do I determine what is stopping a normal user for working? I'm guessing it is a permissions issue?

I need build 11.0.9600.18163 or above

Hi All

we are being forced by a vendor to have IE11.0.9600.18163  or later installed and tested before they will provide us with any support for the software they provide us with.

We are currently on various builds from11.0.9600.17239 to 11.0.9600.18097.

Grabbing the download from the MS Site only gives me 11.0.9600.16428

all windows 7 Enterprise - SP1 - 64bit

Anyone know where I can get a later version of IE11?

Thanks in advance.

Dave

Hi there

I run a school website and have created direct clickable links from the website to Google drive folders for information.

When you click them, the browser hangs and takes a couple of minutes to load them but if you copy and paste the link into the address bar, it loads instantly!

Advice please.

Have tested on Chrome and Firefox with no problems

Many thanks

Enterprise Site Discovery for Windows 8.1 IE 11

Hi All,

We are planning to upgrade Windows 7 to windows 8.1. As a task before upgrade, we following Microsoft article to deploy Enterprise Site Discovery to collect necessary IE information.

Collect data using Enterprise Site Discovery

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn833204.aspx

In the link above, Microsoft provided SCCM Report Sample – ActiveX.rdll and SCCM Report Sample – Site Discovery.rdl. I have imported the two templates to SQL reporting service but getting error when generating report.

My questions is if I need to modify SCCM Report Sample – ActiveX.rdll and SCCM Report Sample – Site Discovery.rdl. or I can direct import the templates  and generate reporting after connecting to correct datasoure.

Thanks in advanced.

How do I permanently disable InPrivate browsing with Windows 10?

Not saving passwords

Hi,

Trying to work out why IE is not asking to save usernames & passwords despite the setting being on. Followed article https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/306895 & started the Protected Storage Service. Machine is a new machine with Windows 7. It did have McAfee preinstalled (I noticed some people talking about this regarding this issue) which was removed. Symantec End Point Protection is now installed.

Not even being asked if password/username would like to be saved.

Any ideas what might be going wrong.

Thanks in advance

example.domain is not responding. Recover webpage

Every since going to IE11 ( and a handful of people complaining about it on a much smaller scale on IE9) our users have been complaining about webpages not wanting to open and getting the error ribbon across the bottom of the browser.  The error states"msn.com (or whatever the domain is) is not responding."  Then we get a recover webpage button.  Does anyone know what is causing this?  I've tried compatibility view, enterprise mode, resetting IE to defaults, running IE with no-addons, etc and nothing works and its driving me nuts.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks

Smartscreen Filter warning on my web sites

$

When I visit several of my web sites in IE10 (Windows 8) I get a yellow warning "shield" to the right of the address bar and when I hover over this it says "Are you trying to visit this web site?". If I click on this shield it gives me options to "Report this website as safe" or "Report this website as unsafe".

I have these websites registered in Bing Webmaster, and clicking on Security/Malware it tells me "Bing did not find any harmful elements on your site.

I need to find out why IE is telling the world that there's something wrong with my sites when Bing Webmaster tells me there's nothing wrong with them.

at https://feedback.smartscreen.microsoft.com/smartscreenfaq.aspx I read the following ...

Q. If I am a website owner, how do I correct a warning on my legitimate site?
A. You can immediately submit a request for a correction. SmartScreen Filter has a built-in, web-based feedback system in place to help customers and website owners report any potential false warnings as quickly as possible. In Windows Internet Explorer, from a red warning, click More information then Report that this site contains no threats. This will take you to a feedback page where you can indicate you are a site owner or representative. Follow the instructions and provide the information on this site to submit a site for review.
To report feedback from the Internet Explorer Download Manager, Right-click on the blocked download and choose Report that this file is safe. This will take you to the feedback page.
Once a dispute is submitted, a team of graders inspects the site in question. All disputes should be submitted through the website reporting process to ensure the quickest resolution.

The problems are: (1) my warning is yellow, not red (2) there is no "More information" link/button (3) Therefore I can't "report that this site contains no threats.

an example site is http://countrynet.com.au/

Furthermore, if I respond to the "Report this website as safe" process more than once I get this message " ...Error
This web address (URL) has already been submitted in this browser session. If you are owner or representative of this website and are trying to access the site owner form, please close your browser, and then resubmit the form in a different browser session."

So this message refers to the "site owner form" which I am unable to find.

Can't delete favorites from IE 10 - Windows 8

Yesterday out of the blue some old pages from my favorites list reappeared.  I deleted these in the past and now they just showed up.  When I right click on them to delete them or go to organize favorites to delete them, they delete for a few seconds, but then reappear.  I try again and again, but they just keep coming back.  The "favorites bar" in my favorites list does the same thing.  I have also gone to users/profile/favorites to try and delete them and they just come back.

I've run multiple scans with my antivirus software and spybot software, but it didn't fix it.

Anyone know how to fix this or know what the problem could be?  I am not a tech guy, just an average joe, but can get around windows decently.

Thanks for your help.

In my application I showing document preview using "frame" like <Frame src="xxxx.xxx" />. For PDF it giving preview but for xlsx and docx instead of loading the file in "Frame" it showing a message box "What do you want to do with this xxx.xx"

I know download manager in IE9 is responsible for this. Is there any way to hide this message, as my files are in my local machine and I don't want to download any.

any workaround is appreciated,

is there any plug-ins for office will fix? (for PDF file I am not getting any such message and it previews as expected)
