Enterprise Mode Site List not working. Site is showing up in Document Mode 5 instead of Document Mode 8
We want sites to open in IE 8 Document Mode instead of the Edge Default which occurs when we uncheck the intranet site compatibility view.
We have the XML and Enterprise Mode Enabled and it is processing BUT the sites are changing from Edge to Document Mode 5 instead of 8?
I have tried ALL the document modes and even IE 8 Emulation and it doesn't matter which one we set, the sites are going to Document Mode 5, with the exception of Livemeeting.com which is opening in IE 8 Document Mode as it should.
Now we can set it manually in IE using the Emulation but it does not last the session.

Can't delete favorites from IE 10 - Windows 8
Yesterday out of the blue some old pages from my favorites list reappeared. I deleted these in the past and now they just showed up. When I right click on them to delete them or go to organize favorites to delete them, they delete for a few seconds, but then reappear. I try again and again, but they just keep coming back. The "favorites bar" in my favorites list does the same thing. I have also gone to users/profile/favorites to try and delete them and they just come back.
I've run multiple scans with my antivirus software and spybot software, but it didn't fix it.
Anyone know how to fix this or know what the problem could be? I am not a tech guy, just an average joe, but can get around windows decently.
Thanks for your help.
Spell check issue in Internet Explorer 11
Javascripts are not loaded in windows 2012 server
In Windows server 2012 none of my scripts are working. The same works in 2008 server.
If I add the application to trusted site or if I turn off the security setting to off it works fine. But I need a solution without changing these features. Please help me out in fixing it.
Human-Readable Enterprise Mode Site List format?
We maintain a large Enterprise Mode Site List in XML and have hundreds of web developers and site stakeholders who need to be able to review the file to see what it contains. But it's in XML format and it's not clear for the average user how to interpret it or understand how the XML code translates into different modes of emulation.
Has anyone worked out a parsing for the XML file to put it into a human-readable format so that it is clear which sites or pages are in Enterprise Mode, and which mode of emulation they are in?
Failing to remember credentials
Within the last few weeks, IE no longer will remember store credentials (username/ password) when it did before. Windowsupdates were installed and I am wondering if it is a result of the updates. The computer has been restarted several times. Not only will it not remember previously stored credentials, but it won't save the info. For example, I go to a site that previously work and subsequently manually type in my username/ password and click login. Next IE will ask if I want to save my info and I click save. Next time I visit the same site the info is not saved. It is a Windows 7 machine with IE 11. The box is checked for install new versions automatically. For some reason on my other computer when you click internet options>content> AutoComplete> Settings, however, the "Manage Passwords" box is not there. Only the "Delete AutoComplete History...". The "User names and passwords on forms" & "Ask me before saving passwords" boxes both are checked. Also, I have gone in to Credential Manager in the control panel the info I see is:
Windows Credentials - No Windows credentials
Certificate-Based credentials - No certificates
Generic Credentials - only one website and Outlook info is stored here
Consequently, I attempted to add the site manually under "Generic Credentials" and got the following error message:
Error Code - 0x80070057
Error Message - The parameter is incorrect.
How to Remove domains from Compatibility view via registry key / GPO
Hi,
I would like to remove domains that are added compatibility view via registry key / GPO. I'm going to disable compatibility view to Authenticated users. Q is in my testing found that if we disable compatibility view option existing domains that added will be there and we do have option to remove after implementation of GPO.

Internet Explorer 11 fails to install on Microsoft Server 2008 R2 & repeatedly generates error code 9C47 or 9C49
Internet Explorer 11 fails to install on Microsoft Server 2008 R2 & repeatedly generates error code 9C47 or 9C49
Greetings,
I was asked to update our Windows 2008 R2 server from IE 10 to IE11, and it will not install properly. I have looked up several solutions to this issue, so far nothing has worked.
I disabled McAfee HBSS in safe mode, restarted the PC and tried to run Windows Update managed by a WSUS server. The update gets approved and pushed out to the 2008 R2 server. It downloads IE11, tries to install, then fails/errors-out at the last
second. I have tried this a few times, rebooted and either get error code 9C47 or 9C49.
Some of the suggested fixes I have tried:
I turned of internet connectivity and the anti-virus
I tried the Windows Update repair tool
I tried the Windows System Readiness tool
I tried to scan the system files for errors with sfc /scannow
I tried installing the other updates first, restarting and it still fails
I removed the server listing from the WSUS server, and re-added it and it will not update
I tried the stand-alone IE11 installer, and it fails at the very last step and then gives me an error with a link to troubleshoot IE installations
I have uninstalled IE10, and now am stuck with Internet Explorer 9
RT returns no errors
SFC returns no errors
None of the recommendations have worked so far.
If there is anyone who has any other suggestions, it would be much appreciated!
Thank you kindly!
brower not responding in server 2012 R2 standerd
hi _ all
we are facing an issue in my server 2012 R2 standard edition. server browser not responding after 2 hrs .
when i restart the server its work properly. this issue is repeated evry times after 2 hrs, 5 hrs, 1 day,
MSIE installaton failure - via WSUS
Hey Folks,
Wondering if there is someone who can pinpoint an issue we're having rolling out Internet Explorer v11 for Windows 7 at my company?
Situation is that we approved it in WSUS Monday (07/07) and it proceeded to fail installing on PCs royally.
Did some digging and found prerequisite info here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2847882/en-us . Have followed this and used my own PC as a testbed. Missing were the "Platform Update" (2670838) and supposedly the "Segoe UI symbol font" (2729094). Installed the platform update without incident. However, when attempting to install the symbol font, the standalone installer informed me that the update was already installed. Can find nothing about it listed in my installed updates - AND the IE v11 installer complains that the font update is missing.
Took things a little further and used the /uninstall switch of 2729094 standalone package to remove from Windows whatever it thought was present. Then the installer proceeded to install this update, rebooted, and it is now in the list of installed updates.
Below is the most recent snippet I have from C:\Windows\IE11_main.log. I did note the the KB2729094 package seems to be a "v2". wondering if that add'l info in its string is somehow throwing off the IE v11 installer?
Have not yet looked into the WMI message below, but wanted to post this out there in hopes that the answer exists... thanks!!

IE11 better improvement for html validation
IE 11 has best performance. We want to know what is the advanced new features for IE11 to improve the validation of jsp converted html code.
Is it feasible to add plug-in validator (jsp or html) for development environment (like RAD or eclipse)? Therefore, the developer can detect the invalid tag before check-in the code? IE browser handling very differently in each version. If old version can't handled properly, how is IE11, how is IE11 to overcome the old problem for improvement?
attempt to access invalid address error after June 2014 updates (All IE Versions)
I don't know if anyone else is having this issue but after the recent patch run by MS this week we are getting a high proportion of users unable to access internet explorer (all versions) on Windows 7 machines.
The error displayed is
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
attempt to access invalid address
This happens when trying to run Internet Explorer short cuts or iexplore.exe directly. I have had a searched around and given the number of users that with the issue I'm surprised if not found more info
Any feedback appricated
IE11 - Change Compatibility View Settings in Registry
Hello:
I'm trying to set up a desktop when any user opens IE11, both check marks would be enabled and set to compatibility mode. Is there a way I can modify the registry file to ensure that the check marks are there?
Thank you,
IEAK11 customisations in FLAT msi file
Hi. I was wondering if somebody to advise me whether customisations created in IEAK 11 are stored within the msi file within the FLAT folder, or whether they are only applied by use of the ins file in the INS folder? I haven't many customisations but I was hoping to apply changes to the search providers without having to apply an ins file.
Thanks
Mark
