Is there a a list of supported cipher suites for IE8? I am curious wether it supportsDiffie-Hellman Ephemeral (DHE) for SSL.

Windows Live Mail & Outlook.com
I would like to ask the following question: Do WLM & Outlook .com operate/run simultaneously. I have noticed that all the emails that I receive in Outlook .com are duplicated in WLM.
Does this mean that I can delete WLM and just use Outlook.com?
I am not sure what to do here and would appreciate some help on this one.

HTTP Header 303 handled inconsistently
Hello everyone,
For the past several months I have been developing an embedded device with the Web Based Interface, hence I have also developed my own Web Server.
The Web Server has a Login page with a regular Form element and the submit button, and it works like charm, i.e. the data is submitted and processed by the Web Server and then the Web Server issues a 303 See Other HTTP headed with the Location Attribute set to the desired target.
It all worled fine, i.e. after the Login I was redirected to the Home page every time, however the problem first appeared when I stopped using the Fiddler. I noticed that my IE would not redirect and would rewrite the 303 See Other header to 200 OK.
On the other Hand, as soon as I turn the Fiddler on IE Redirects like charm.
I have also tried anayzing the data with the WireShark, the HTTP protocol Analysis Shows 303 See Other while the IEs net monitoring tool Shows 200 OK.
This is not all folks, if I repeatedly hit the F5 and confirm the form re-submit the IE would randomly kick in and would redirect to the target from the Location Parameter, however the IEs Network monitor would still Show the 200 OK Status!?
I am not the Network engineer and can only guess where the problem might lie, and my guess is with the TCP packet Timing.
If anyone from IE dev Team is interested in Fixing this I woule be more than happy to provide you with the data capture I made with WireShark.

IE 11 shows website in IE 7 mode and gets scrumbled
Hi all,
Im trying to understand how multiple aspects regarding IE and Compatibility View work together.
There is that website called my.domainname.nl. Its an external hosted website which is viewed fine but not inside the organisation in a Citrix environment. The site is scrumbled.
When i hit F12 i see the site is loaded in IE7 mode. When i change the mode to for example IE9,10,edge the website is loaded fine.
Another action which achieves to let the website load fine is by disabling the setting "Display intranet sites in compatibility view" setting in the "Compatibility view settings" of IE. I must say the list of websites is empty there.
According to my knowledge there are a couple of things to know about. The website does not have any code that asks the browser to use the latest IE mode possible. Something like <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge">
Or something is telling the browser this website my.domainname.nl is recognised as an intranet site. But what is that something?
When i ping the website from the client i get an external IP back. So why does the browser think its an intranet website?
The only thing i can think of is that the TMG proxy has ALL IP ranges (also external) configured on the Internal network. There is only one NIC on that server which is not according to MS recommendations? But i also dont understand why all IP ranges are configured
on the internal network in TMG. Maybe it has something to do with that? Or not.. I cant tell.
Would it be possible to just change the document mode for that website to IE9 or above and will that be remembered, and also used by all other users that logon to the Citrix environment? Or should i do something else?

Windows 7 / IE8 - Disable Do you want to open or save this file.
We have a web application that has thousands of links to TIF files and PDF files. When a user clicks on the link to open the file they are presented with the File Download dialog box " Do you want to open or save this file?" the selections are to open save and cancel.
We are looking for a way to disable this prompt every time the user clicks on the link to the file. The web application is a hosted solution, we do have the site set as a trusted site. We have tried the Setting the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\AttachmentExecute\{0002DF01-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}

Fully Patched - to date - IE11 Download
Shot in the dark... Is there such a thing as a fully patched (to date) version of IE11?
I have a number of Windows clients in a closed (no internet), classified environment that have stopped updating.
I'm getting various errors, but all generally pointing to permissions. I am the administrator but no luck.
Thus the though that there might be a patched IE11 out there.

Tif File Might have been moved or deleted download message
Hello,
When trying to open TIF attachments sometimes we are getting "xxxx.tif might have been moved or deleted". The message gives you the option to click on Retry, Cancel or View Download. Once we click on retry the attachment will open. The message will be random: the message is not triggered by file size. This issue is more of an inconvenience than an urgent matter. We are still able to open attachments but have to click on the retry button.
This is for a web based application. The problem has occurred when we upgraded to IE11 (windows 7). I searched and found this error that others were having but there was no resolution to the problem. I did find that this was a known issue and bug in IE11. Do you know if there was ever a resolution for this issue? Thank you.

..Cannot remain signed-in on my email account..
I have been using Windows 7 and IE11 for the past 6 months.
I have a strange phenomenon popped up in signing into my email account.
I enter my ID and the PW, system takes it, however it immediately logs me out ..
I took all of the add-ons off the IE, and deleted, reloaded IE, not a chance for a reset either..
I do not have any problem with my email account since it works on Mozilla.
However it has created one hell of an ordeal with inability to access my book marks.
Any creative ideas to solve the issue? Thx↧
Can IE 11 or anything hire than 9 be install on Windows Server Datacenter
We are running Windows Server Data center SP2 with all updates applied. But I can install IE11 all downloads say not compatible with This version of windows. If I go to microsoft.com/ie it says I am running the latest version (IE9). Is this officially
the latest it can use?
When I google it the only reference I can find is
but when I try to install all the prerequisites they say not compatible with this version of windows.
Any ideas on how to install it?

Windows 7/MSOutlook
My MSN/Outlook shows over 3000 emails downloaded( have no idea where they are). MSN will download to my Outlook Connector but I cannot "delete" them...to delete them it looks like I have to do so using the MSN/Outlook homepage. They are not synched
as they were before...ideas?? Tks in advance

How do you install IE11 branding created using the IEAK?
How do you install IE11 branding created using the IEAK?
I've gone through the IEAK, creating a configuration-only package and then putting in all the settings I want. At the end of it I have a folder ie11_settings_client\BrndOnly\WIN32_WIN7\EN-US with files IE11-Setup-Branding.exe and IE11-Setup-Branding.msi in it, and a folder S:\installers2\ie11_settings_client\INS\WIN32_WIN7\EN-US with assorted files and subfolders.
I tried running the .exe and the .msi on a test PC, with IE11 already installed via Windows update, but they don't appear to do anything. The .exe just quits pretty much immediately. The .msi leaves msiexec running for some time but eventually it quits. Either way my IE settings are unchanged.
I've looked through the IEAK 11 documentation on TechNet but can't find anything about actually installing things once you've gone through the IEAK wizard there. I've also checked the Event Viewer and found no warnings or errors, indeed I get items from MsiInstaller saying "
Product: Internet Explorer 11 -- Configuration completed successfully."

Internet Explorer 11 constantly causes screen flickering with Windows 8.1
My screen is constantly flickering and sometimes tabs go blank (white) for no reason while using IE11 with Windows 8.1. This does not happen with other browsers. My resolution and refresh rate for my monitor are both set to recommended settings
and my Windows and drivers are all up to date.

Restoring to Internet Explorer 8 is not supported in Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1

Uninstalled the Internet Explorer 10 since one application in this windows server 2008 R2 Sp1 is not supported by IE10.
After that , when I install IE 8 , getting the error message " Internet Explorer 8 is not supported on this operating system".

Microsoft SSRS 2012 RSClientPrint ActiveX component doesn't install/run within IE 11

We are running into an issue, where we see that the "print" button as available on the Microsoft Reporting Server site does not work on our Windows 7/8.1 systems. When pressing the button, a popup appears with the message "Printing is not available. Verify that ActiveX is enabled, or try using Internet Explorer for the desktop."
I have added the site to trusted sites, and allowed download and run of signed ActiveX controls, as described here (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms155874(v=sql.110).aspx ).
I have configured the ActiveX Installer service, as described here (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd631688(v=ws.10).aspx). After that action I see in the eventlog the following:

....seems like the ActiveX object is marked as "ok"... but even then the file is not installed. Looking at a Process Monitor dump, I see the cab-file (RSClientPrint-x86.cab) is downloaded, but never reaches "Windows\Downloaded Program Files".
I would like to avoid having to deploy the component using a package. Does anyone have an idea? (googling around didn't provide me any answers that work for me -> which where the options mentioned above)

I have ie11 problem. It loads "res://ieframe.dll/defaultbrowser.htm" every time I start IE11. This is the result of a malware infection. I haven't been able to clear it. Any suggestions? All will be welcome.

I have a problem on windows 7 32 bit internet explorer 11 in that when I download a file i.e adobe reader it supplies prompt run save view downloads it does nothing when save clicked or view downloads it does however count percentage if run pressed
but then nothing else I am also unable to view downloads via tools in explorer it does nothing when clicked everything else seems fine tried ie fix it, reinstalling and new profile all make no difference what now besides reinstall win 7

Nasty malware removal help please
Customer picked up a nasty bug on her Windows 8 desktop running IE11 this weekend. The entire screen has a blue tint to it and an error notice that reads: "Message from Webpage. Debug malware error 895-system 32.exe failure. Please contact system technicians to rectify the issue. Please do not open internet browser for your security issue to avoid data corruption of your operating system. Please contact computer technicians at 1-866-406-1398." Other forum users on the web have stated that when they call, the person who answers identifies themselves as working for Microsoft and then tries to sell them a service. I ran Defender, Kaspersky, & Norton and none of them found the problem. Now a pop up loads on start up that wants her to buy a driver installation tool. On a Bing or Google search, the top searches are from that company who wants to sell them the product.
Other than the tint and annoying message, the PC operates fine. Any thoughts or info on how to fix this nasty POS would be greatly appreciated.
