I am running Windows 7 and recently appear to have been upgraded to Internet Explorer 11.

A Couple of days ago i was successfully using F5 Firepass (using IE 10). Today i cant use it...

After sorting out Kaspersky - which has started to consoder the logon as needing a secure keyboard entry (never did this before...),

I am getting warnings; (a) that Javascript is not enabled - it looks enabled to me...

(b) I need to install the F5 Browser plugin.

I have downloaded the plugin (NPuroamHost.dll), and the instructions are to 'unpack it into the plugins folder of your browser tree.'

Where on earth is this?

I found another post elsewhere with a similar problem - and the solution was to uninstall Internet Explorer 11. Amazing!

Serious broken url on windows operating system

Today at 9:11AM

Fault occurrene commenced 9.30 am uk time 6th May

Event ID 131: this event is occurring on hundreds of windows operating systems at my place of work and throughout the community. Metadata staging is failing because the Microsoft link in the registry is malfunctioning.

The Microsoft url has somehow become corrupt on your server and no one can connect to that url it is dead and needs an urgent prolevel repair.

this error is generated by the registry key: HKEY-Local-Machine/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Device Metadata:

In this registry is the url required to connect to Windows Metadata

Device Meta Data URL = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=252669&clcid=0x409

This link should forward to: http://dmd.metaservices.microsoft.com/dms/metadata.svc. It is not forwarding therefore all windows operating systems are being flooded with event id 131 meta data staging failed, because the link is malfunctioning the hardware and devices update is generating the errors. Needs fixing, please point us all in the right direction to get Microsoft to fix this please

please advise me this issue will be sent to the relevant department. There are many users on community sites wondering why there systems are suddenly being flooded with metadata errors.

I enjoyed being able to type a search phrase in the search bar then search the same topic with different search providers. So far I don't like this combined bar at all and will uninstall IE9 (or just start using Chrome) unless I can find a solution

This may seem like a web script question, but if I can get some more information on why IE shows a dialog box, I may be able to find the fix that I'm looking for.

When this link is selected on a web page in website1
the file appears successfully (in all browsers)(it's a .png file).

In website2 (same php web script, same web server, same computer accessing both website1 and website2), when viewing via IE10 or IE9, and that link is selected, a dialog box appears: "Do you want to open or save (the file name) from (web address)? OPEN SAVE CANCEL. The only glaring difference is that website2 has an SSL certificate and website1 does not. Ultimately, I'm trying to fix website2 so that the file opens successfully in IE9 and IE10 without opening up a dialog box first. Can tell me in what conditions would a dialog box open, or not open? Maybe to help me understand what might be triggering a dialog box(as in website2), or what may not be triggering a dialog box (as in website1). I look forward to any insight that might help me figure this out. Much thanks.

Hello,

A few months ago i had some viruses on my computer. I had it taken care of by a friend of mine but a few things were lost in the process e.g internet explorer and chrome no longer functioned so he downloaded a spin-off of firefox (it's called waterfox) it is a wonderful browser except for skype needs internet explorer to download it properly without it weird run time errors occur but when i try to download internet explorer it says internet explorer is already downloaded but you can put it as your default so i tried the default but as soon as i open it theres is the hotbar at the top and whiteness below then closes itself without a message. so i looked through the search engine of the computer and there is no internet explorer except the default programs i just downloaded that do not work

Thank you if you can i need a answer to this ASAP it involves my work and is very necessary

Hey

I have a user who has a problem with Internet Explorer 11 where when you go to emulation mode using F12, the Document Mode and User Agent String Drop Down Menu are both blank. On our internal website its works correctly but on all other external websites they are both blank.

I have had a look at the link below but this did not help as it would not recreate some of the registry keys.

I have deployed IE11 + prerequisite (Required & Optional) as per below link:

when I deploy then manually it works perfect, but if I deploy them through SCCM the GPUPDATE and registry both miss the configuration of IE 11 enterprise mode.

I have windows 8.1 therefore I cannot delete explorer but I cannot access it either. I cannot get the lan settings to hold in

in the auto setting. I change the setting to auto and when I leave the it returns to proxy setting. any help would be

Hello everyone,

It's been a few months that I am unable to install the Google search (in add-ons) for internet explorer. I find myself to use Bing... and you can say what you want, but Bing is impossible for me especially since it is not only me but all my business. (I manage the IT park of the company)

To be more precise, this is what I do: - I'm heading in the parameter of internet explorer (the gear in the top right of internet explorer) - I click on manage add-ons - I go in search providers - Then I go to find more search providers ... - A new internet explorer opens where I can choose which provider I want to add to Internet Explorer. - I click on Google, that's the problem ... When I press on Google (or Google search), nothing happens, no message, no page opens. Nothing ...

This brings me to my question have you a solution to resolve this problem, am I doing something wrong ...? Or in the worst case, have you another way to add Google search?

Phantom IE process in background

I'm running Internet Explorer 10. On a seemingly random basis, I will hear one- or two-second snippets of sound from my laptop's speakers. They seem to be clips from advertisements. When I open Task Manager, under "Applications" I find an Internet Explorer task that is not visible anywhere on my desktop. The task does not respond to "Switch to" or "End Task". Under the "processes" tab, I find two instances of 'iexplore.exe *32', in addition to the normal processes of one iexplore.exe and one iexplore.exe *32 that appear when I have opened an IE window. When I return to Tasks I see that the phantom task is rotating through a list of seemingly random list websites (partial list below). It remains on one website anywhere from 2 - 30 seconds.

Other symptoms:
I get repeated warnings in my visible IE session: "Internet explorer has modified this page to help prevent cross-site scripting" .

Once I am operating in InPrivate Browsing, it seems to prevent the problem from browsing.

Since rolling back from IE 11, my Task Bar behaves differently. Normally each application icon is highlighted once the application opens, and if there are multiple windows of that application are listed by right-clicking the icon. In the case of Internet Explorer, I open the first window by clicking the Task Bar icon. That spawns a second IE icon on the task bar, which is highlighted and lists the open windows. The original window.is not highlighted and does not list the open windows.

What can I do to prevent this from happening?

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out how to enable and configure the content advisor for IE 11 through GPO. The setting in Group Policy preferences is greyed out and there is no way to configure from a regular policy. The only setting relates to showing the content advisor option (it's disabled by default).

I don't wish to use IEAK.

Cannot open some links

I clicked a bad page the other day and installed some malware. I [carefully] removed them manually, but perhaps I deleted a wrong registry key. Anyway, I'm left a little bit lame as I cannot open some links or pages, and I cannot restore previous versions of Windows.

Win 7 home
IE 11

Issues:
------------------
1. Wikipedia .png images will not respond at all to a left-click. I can open them by right-clicking.

2. wordpress.com the reader link and a few other links hang.

generates the error Line: 4235
== Error: The system cannot find the file specified.

The line of code is ... if( !window.localStorage ){

3. System restore would not restore previous versions. It was unchecked in system, and I have since re-enabled it and allocated space. I have not tested it.

actions performed:
---------------------
- Googled for a day and a half
- tried re-registering dlls
- checked file associations
- reset security and settings in IE
- ran IE with no add ons
- ran IE in safe mode
- rolled back to IE 10 and reinstalled IE 11 (with much pain with failing updates needing manual uninstallations)

I am now at a loss at what to try next for the IE issues. Any help or ideas will be appreciated. I'd rather not reinstall or upgrade right now.

Since I've installed IE 11, I received an error code 9C59. Could that be because I need to uninstall the previous version of IE whether it's IE 9 or IE 10 prior to reinstalling IE 11?

Sometimes when I swipe up I get my open tabs but no addressbar under it just a black area which a slider to move to earlier tabs

Only way to get the address bar back is to reboot, it began happening a few weeks ago bug or undocumented feature?

is there a way this IE tile button to open new window of IE instead of change to existing IE window.

I have already changed the setting to open IE tile to destop. but what annoys me is that if i click the tile, it just goes to existing IE. i can just simply do that with ATL TAB (TAP? sorry my english is second language) which makes this tile very pointless to me.

help :D
