Hi,
I can not download any files on IE11. When click "download" on email attachments, nothing happens whatsoever! I have checked security settings and download is enabled. "View download" does not work either, again nothing happens when I click it. Any ideas what might me causing this? Can download same email attachments in Chrome.

When i attempt to install Internet Explorer 11 it says that it could not be installed.

I'm in a bit of a dilemma with security and compatibility being at odds with each other. In order to mitigate the growing list of security problems with TLSv1, I need to disable version 1 on our server (I know how to do this, so this is not a server issue). The problem is, IE 9 and 10 do not support TLSv1.1 or TLSv1.2 by default. These can be turned on manually in Internet Options/Advanced/Security.
And there's the problem: it has to be enabled manually. Asking users to go through this process in order to use our sites will most likely end up in a lost sale. And if a customer disables something that should not be disabled in the security settings, that can lead to more problems for them.
Where's the middle solution here? Most of our traffic is on IE 10. Disabling TLSv1 will shut those customers out. Does anyone know if there's an update around the corner that might enable v1.1 and 1.2 by default?

problem is that people we have intranet access they are using the others credintials and using this run as option and they are logging into internet. Now my IT head is gave me task to disable the run as option without providing any administritative privileges
and also I can't access regedit on any system. It is tough task to me and if somebody knows please reply to this problem.

We are developing web site on IE 10. Now the client complained - 1) table cell data missing randomly, 2) a large text in a table cell is kept scroll down instead of wrapped format as presented in IE8 or 9, 3) copy a cell data (i.e., '34-987'), and it's pasted as
' 34-987' (A space lied on 1st place), but it didn't happen in IE9 or 8.
I am trying to adjust via GPO how to change the Browsing History Settings of Temporary Internet Files – "Disk Space to use" amount for all Domain Users within IE 11.
By default it seems to be set to 250 MB although I cannot see where this has been set to.
I have looked thru “User Configuration > Windows Settings > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer” – But have come up empty handed to finding the key.
I have also looked thru “User Configuration > Preferences > Control Panel Settings > Internet Settings” although “Disk Space to use” has been Greyed out/disabled from change and is set to 250 MB.
Although from my understanding this area is purely for configuring IE 5 – 10 which leaves me once again stuck on how to change an IE 11 setting.

We have hosted this application on windows server 2003(IIS6) and tested the website with this changes and it is working fine on IE 8,9,10 and 11 with OS Windows 7 and IE 10 with OS Windows 8.

IE11 OPENS, CRASHES AND REOPENS WHEN I CLOSE ERROR MESSAGE. I SPOKE WITH SUPPORT VIA CHAT AND THOUGHT PROBLEM WAS SOLVED. NOT SO. HAVE SEARCH FOR .EXE, ETC. WITH NO LUCK. MAYBE SOMEONE KNOWS WHAT THIS IS.

Whenever anyone from my company tries to go to finance.yahoo.com using IE 11, the site takes a long time to load and then they get multiple certificate revocation errors. Eventually after responding to the box several times, the page loads with some missing spaces for ads.
If we use Chrome, the page loads without the certificate errors but the ads are removed due to a setting in our firewall.
We do not use Certificate Services in our environment, so it appears to be something in the way that IE is handling the page.
Ideas on how to proceed without making my users use Chrome for some sites, Firefox for others and IE for still others.

I have a question about internet explorer 11. I'm currently running windows 7 on my desktop computer. I'm having a problem that I hope I describe accurately. When I use the mouse pointer to click on a link, sometimes the link that is directly behind my pointer from the original page will open. Example, if i'm on huffingtonpost.com and click on a story, whatever story behind what my mouse pointer clicks on will open. Other times when I go to close a tab, I always open a link in a new tab, it will close out all tabs and the original page. I have downloaded and run numerous anti-virus, malware, shareware and any other program I can think of and nothing helps find the problem. If any in the community could help me out, I would be grateful. Thank you.

We need to use a VPN-Software who writes DNS-Records for internal Websites/Servers into the Hosts File.
(Entrys with 127.0.0.82-140 for different internal Websites ore Servers)
We use a Proxy-Pac where is defined that Connections to 127.x goes outside the Proxy-Server (Proxy-Pac-Entrys are OK, they work since years and with other Browsers)
When we try to open a Website before the VPN is connected, the URL/IP cannot be resolved by the Client (normal, because of empty Hosts-file).
Now we close IE and start the VPN. The Hosts-File contains now the Records for the Websites.
When we want now to reopen the same Website from bevor, we receive the Message from our Proxy-Server, that the URL/Host cannot be resolved. Every other URL wich we not testet before (with 127.xx Entry) works wonderfull (outside Proxy). Other Browsers didnt have this Problem.
I think, IE Caches somewhere the before testet URL and ask the Proxy because he didnt make a new DNS/Hosts-File resolve.
At the same time, we can ping the URL and reseive the correct 127.x.x.x entry.
When we reset IE to Default, then IE works immediatly. When whe after Setting-Reset repeat the procedore, we get the same Problem. Only deleting all Caches and Historys not work.
(Under Vista with IE9 and the same VPN-Software the Problem not occurs)
Does anybody knows a solution? (Sorry for my bad english)

I've got over thousands PC which runs in Windows 7 with IE9.0.36. They access IIS7.5 serving static HTML pages.
Some of them can load the updated-content, some of them aren't. After inspection, I discovered that it was used default "Expires Setting" of IIS7.5 as below.
I've tested those setting with two IIS7.5 server, connected by IE9 and IE11. There is no such problem.
May i know what is default HTML caches expiry setting employed?
How does it treat if there is no information about expiry of a page.

This is brand new Windows 8.1 install, freshly installed O365 and all critical updates installed.
So I click on the gear in IE, select Manage add-ons.
This opens the Manage Add-ons window, I click on Search providers, it only shows Bing.
I click on Find more search providers... at the bottom of the window, this opens IE with a list of the search engines. I click on Google, which loads the google search page. When I click the Add to Internet Explorer button nothing happen, nothing gets added, no message gets display, NOTHING.
I see the button wants to run a javascript, so I go back in add this site to trusted sites, thinking that will allow it to run. Close browser, re-open, try again, same outcome .... NOTHING.
So next I go and reduce the security level to low for trusted sites, figuring this will allow the script to fire off. No luck, still nothing.
Next I go to windows features, un check IE 11, reboot, go back in again check IE 11. Try it again, still nothing.
Finally I installed the Google Toolbar for IE check the box for making google the default search, after install reboot, guess what .... still nothing but Bing listed in search providers.
Is there another way to repair IE 11 on Windows 8.1? I have done this many times in the past, why now is this such an issue? Can I manually put this into the registry?

I have a user that when they try to log into Duke Progress Energy's website at https://www.progress-energy.com/app/loginregistration/login.aspx it will redirect them to a "one time authentication" page which requires them to use a one-time key to log in on a new computer. When going to this one-time website (secure8.i-doxs.net) it will get an error message that says...
This page can't be displayed
Turn on TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS 1.2 in the Advanced settings and try connecting to https://secure8.i-doxs.net again. If this error persists, contact your site administrator.
Well, I'm the site administrator and I can confirm that TLS 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2 are all enabled and forced by GPO. Restarting IE and rebooting did not help. Chrome and Firefox both work flawlessly.
Edit: This is IE 11 on Windows 8.1 Enterprise.
