Why does our Ajax application that uses Post requests occasinally fail when using Internet Explorer 9?
We have an AJAX application that occasionally the users will receive a 400 error from the web server after waiting approximately 5 minutes.
In trouble shooting the issue we have used WireShark at the client machine to capture what was being sent out by IE. On the same machine during the same session we have captured a Post statement that works as well as one that does not. In the case of the Post statement that fails only 7 of the 9 packets which were generated were ever sent to the web server. Thus the web server sits waiting for the Post to be completed and eventually after 5 minutes sends the 400 error back to the client machine. We have the WireShark capture that can be sent for additional documentation and can bring in to the conversation the analysts who examined the packet capture.
We have reviewed the MS support article KB895954 and applied the suggested registry fix but this only changed the error received by the user from a 400 error to a 12152 but the user got the error right away instead of waiting for 5 minutes before receiving the error.
From looking at the internet blogs this seems to be a bug within IE. Other than KB895954 from Microsoft there does not seem to be any other information concerning this issue.
Is there any fix for this issue?

Internet Explorer Color Dialog box won't open
Hello All,
I follow these steps to choose website colors...
Open Internet Explorer.
Tap or click the Tools button, and then tap or click Internet options.
Tap or click the General tab, and then, under Appearance, tap or clickColors.
Clear the Use Windows colors check box.
For each color that you want to change, click the color box, select a new color, and then tap or clickOK.
Tap or click OK, and then tap or click OK again.
Except I am stuck between 3 and 4. When I click the "Colors" button NOTHING opens. I have installed IE 8, 9, 10, and 11. Does the same thing for all of these versions. Is this a bug or registry key I need to edit?
I have reset the IE settings and restored the advanced settings. Also I will note this is happening for multiple profiles so I know it is not a corrupted user profile.This is happening on multiple systems but not all systems. It has happened on multiple x64 and x86 installations. Therefore I don't think this is application issue as not all are experiencing this issue. I thought it might have been the software package I used to install it so I downloaded a fresh IE 10 installer and experienced the same thing. I don't know if there is some hidden registry file that has now been corrupted at some point but haven't been able to find any registry references except for those that "hide" the button.
This is on a Corporate Domain.
I can change and access the other Accessibility options just fine (languages, fonts etc).

What is the difference in functionality between setting as URL as "Enterprise Mode" vs "IE 8 Document Mode?"

IE11 Enterprise Mode - Partially functional
Hello,
I'm testing something in IE 11 - I need a site to open in IE7 document mode, so have used the Enterprise Mode Site List Manager to create an xml file.
I can tell that the device is using the xml file (the version number increments in the HKCU key) but the site continues to render in Edge mode.
The only mode that I seem to be able to use is Enterprise mode. If I try on a non-domain joined device Enterprise mode works as expected - i.e. I can set any site to open in any mode I choose.
A domain joined PC however only seems to apply sites that are set for Enterprise Mode and not any of the other available modes
Any help appreciated!

Internet Zone display on Status Bar
Good day.
Not a huge issue, but a bit cumbersome. We run our IE installations with tightly controlled security zones. When troubleshooting scripting issues for end users, the first question I ask is "which zone displays at the bottom of the IE window".
I am currently testing IE 9 (the actual released version...not the beta, but there's no forum on the released version yet) in our environment before rolling it out to everyone and I have found that while there is still a status bar at the bottom, it no longer displays which zone the currently displayed site falls under.
Is there a way to restore this functionality (I'm sure I'm missing a checkbox somewhere). This is very useful when troubleshooting and is truly needed in our environment.

Main Problem With windows Programing.
After using windows since it came out with nt or should I say 95.
I found that the major flaw I can see that has never been addressed
or corrected in windows is with automatic updating and how it can be used
to access any computer using windows or even to gain possible access to microsoft
through this part of it's programing of windows and secondly how vulnerable
windows is to attack when any computer running windows sends information to
Microsoft through scanning someone's computer during updating.
The only way I can see to stop this threat is to do away with automatic dates
or updating and make it manual only in windows, By notifying window users by email
of updates. Which would allow windows users to manually go to micosoft and download these
files and updates only.
Hackers are using this backdoor area of windows to gain access to computers running windows
and to send and spread their viruses, through this access point.
It needs to be taken out of windows and closed.

Items on Favorites Bar Automatically Re-Populate After Deleting Them
So after I delete an item from my favorites bar in IE11 it almost instantly reappears. I've confirmed the autocomplete setting for address bar and favorites is un-checked.
Internet Options>Content tab, 'Settings' button in Autocomplete section, UNchecked the options to use autocomplete for Address bar entries, including favorites.
I'm using IE11 with Windows 8.1, starting IE from the desktop (not from the start screen).
I've stopped and started IE, rebooted the PC. I've even deleted the 'Favorites Bar' folder in my profile; it too automatically re-appears. Next step I'm trying (barring a solution from the experts) is to uninstall and reinstall IE. Should I also perhaps run malwarebytes (low-level virus checker/remover). I would hope the security features included with Win 8.1 and IE11 would prevent this from being a malware issue.
AAAGGHH - this is frustrating. HELP !!!

Cumulative update repeat.
Hi,
I seem to have problems with two of the latest cumulative updates for Internet. Every two or three days windows update prompts me to repeat the install. These serial installs also show up in the update history form. The updates concerned are KB3021952 and KB 3032359
Does anyone have an idea why this happens and how to prevent it. I made a screenshot to show the situation.
I suppose that this update serves a purpose and if it is uninstalled without me doing that it could indicate an infection?

Can't install IE10 or IE11
Hi,
i have a HP ML110 G6 server, reinstalled about 1 year.
I am unable to update to IE10 or IE11.
Updating go IE9 worked before.I had the 9C47 error on 2 clients and solved it by disabling IE feature in add/remove programs, and installing IE11 from with download from M$ website.
But there i not such panel in 2008r2. I was able to remove IE feature with "dism /disable-feature" but nothing changed : installation is not possible...
I've searched for a long time but found nothing...
Anyone has an idea ? :(

Howto get the modern IE on windows 10 march preview
I've installed windows 10 on a tablet and like to use the modern ie(fullscreen and touchfriendly).
It seems there is a powershell script for older windows 10 preview versions which fix this problem. But when i execute this script, it shows the following error:

Create ActiveX plugin for IE 11 and list out it in navigator object of browser.
Hi,
I want to create new plugin for IE for that I used ActiveX control plugin (I am using Windows 7 32 bit), so I create ActiveX control plugin and register it using RegAsm.exe command in cmd, it gives me response like Register successfully, but when I llok for navigator object of to get plugins installed for my IE browser (navigator.plugins) it not render new plugin in list.
So in short my requirement is;
1) Create a new plugin for IE,
2) Register it in registry of machine,
3) After successful registration of plugin. it should render in navigator.plugins list.
Any help would be appreciable, thanks in advance.

managing Enterprise Mode list.
here is my process when I need to add a site to my enterprise mode xml file:
1. open Enterprise Mode Site List Manager
2. bulk add from file, select my enterprise mode xml file.
3. add the site
4. save to xml, select my enterprise mod xml file overwrite it.
I do it this way because I have other people on my team also updating the xml file on their workstations with the site list manager installed. so when I open the List Manager tool on my desktop, I need to load all the sites from the latest version of the xml file, otherwise when I save my list back to the xml, it's not going to have any sites that were added by other people on other machines. (Or when I get a new PC myself...I've had this happen a few times and have had to rebuild the entire list.)
the issue I see here is that when I do this, the "rules version" at the top of the xml file always gets reset back to 1. the way I understand it, IE compares its currently loaded version to the version in the xml file to see if it needs to reload the newer version of the xml. so having it go back to 1 every time I add a site doesn't seem ideal.
i'm assuming that this site list manager tool was implemented to extract the role of managing this list away from the group policy administrator. which is great and all, but surely MS thought about more than one person managing the list from more than one computer.
am I doing this wrong? or understanding the point of the version number incorrectly?

Content was blocked because it was not signed by a valid security certificate.
I am in a domain environment running Windows 8.1 x64. We also have a Citrix environment running XenApp 7.5. Both are running IE 11.0.9600.
There is one particular website that one of my users is trying to get to, where they are getting the "Content was blocked because it was not signed by a valid security certificate." message. They are able to access the website, but this message
is popping up in place of embedded videos on the website. I tried to go to the website myself both inside and outside Citrix, and am getting the same message. This is the list of things I've tried that haven't worked yet:
- Deleted all browsing history
- Reset IE to factory defaults
- Unchecked Check for Publisher's/Server's certificate revocation
- Added the website to trusted sites
- Viewed that website in compatibility mode
- Disabled protected mode for 'Internet'
- Cleared SSL State
- Launched IE with no add-ons
- Clicked the Security Report to view the certificate (The certificate is within the validity date)
I am stumped at this point. I am able to access the website from outside the network, and I am able to access the website from Chrome inside the network. As best I can tell, this is an Internet Explorer issue, but I'm at a loss as to what to try next.
