Hi,
I'm trying to work out why enterprise mode in IE11 isn't working on all clients we have in our environment.
Our specs:
Windows 7 Enterprise SP1
IE11 versions 11.0.9600.17501 update versions: 11.0.15 (KB3008923)
Sites created using Enterprise Mode Site List Manager and the path where the file resides is accessible by all users
On some clients, not all, I managed to get enterprise mode to work. Verified this when the enterprise mode icon appears. Group policy has only "Use the Enterprise Mode IE website list" enabled.
Please help me troubleshoot this.
Hi,
I have done windows "W7" upate then IE"V11" starts misbeshaving, opens, flashs, then closes in a second. I have tried uninstalling then installing, reset the internet setting, uncheck with reboot then check from acessories folder but all my attempts turned to be unsucessful. I took it to a shop and been advised to reformat it which is not favorable.
I have got a feeling it is a missing windows component, or a setting issue, or windows services. I also noticed skype stopped working.
Please, help
Hello,
I've created a configuration manager Baseline to audit Security zones settings.
On a half of the computers most of the registry entries are missing Under :
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\1
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\4
For these two locations only the following settings are found : 1200,1400, 1A10, 1C00, 2001, 2004, 2007
All keys are present Under :
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\2
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\3
How can I explain this ?
Regards,
Michel

Hi folks,
title says it all really.
We have an existing / legacy policy that forces CV for "foo.com" (local company domain) , a web team have confirmed an on premise Sharepoint app "test.foo.com" is not working in IE11 on CV mode.
Is there any way to exclude the subdomain "test.foo.com" from launching in CV mode? Anything we can do with the Enterprise Mode site list? Alternatively, is it possible to update the sharepoint app html header to set a meta tag for Force native IE11?
Please confirm
thanks
Internet Explorer 11 by default send requests to servers using AES256 algorythm instead of using AES128 bits (used for PKI Service). Which steps we need to follow in order to IE 11 can send requests using AES 128.
I am currently trying to save an XML data using "SaveAs" execCommand from Javascript in Internet Explorer 8 only.I am using document.write(xml) to write the xml content after i open a window.The document object in IE8 uses a saveAs Exec Command to allow the user to save the xml file in the local folder.The XML file is generated but it doesnt set the encoding to my preferred type for a different interface where i need to send this XML which is ANSI/UTF-8.I can only save the XML in UCS2 little Endian format.Below is the code i am using.
var location = "D:\\export_to_MCT"+dateTime+".xml";
var xml = tmpSelectedConfigurationXML.transformNode(xslDoc);// XML Is generated here
alert(xml);
**var testlink = window.open ("about:blank","_blank","toolbar=no,status=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,left=10000, top=10000, width=10, height=10, visible=none");
testlink.document.write(xml); //fileData has contents for the file
testlink.document.close();
testlink.document.execCommand('SaveAs', false, location);**
testlink.close();
My purpose is to save the xml in ANSI/UTF-8 without BOM format.I cant use Scripting.FileSystemObject method of ActiveX object.Please suggest
Keep getting an error after logging into a web site.
"Message from webpage". " ! the following error occurred:error" There is an "OK" response box.
The page freezes and none of the options function.
This error occurs on a laptop running Windows 7 with Internet Explorer 11. [Version 11.0.9600.17501] [Update 11.0.15 (KB3008923)]
This error does not occur on a laptop running Windows 8.
Why?
hello
i've set "Enterprise mode" with a share central file xml implemented in a GPO.
I've build the xml file with the last updated "EMIESiteListManager".
60 web applications are set in the XML file and they are running as intended with the right compatibility settings.
But I have one strange behavior for one application.
for example:
I have set www.trpf.com as IE5 document mode andwww.trpf.com\srt as IE8 document mode.
the results are:
www.trpf.com\srt is rendered as IE8 but www.trpf.com is also rendered as IE8 where it would be IE5 ?
other web apps like www.trpf.com\xdf are also rendered as IE8 ?
I have missed something ?
Thank you for your help

Dear community,
we are running internet explorer 11 on our workstations (windows 7 and 8.1). When we try to access the website http://support.microsoft.com we cannot access the site as it get stuck on the page http://login.live.com. This makes it impossible for me to access
any resources such as KB articles etc. The message that we get on the login.live.com page is: "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later."
However if I try to access this page using a different browser such as firefox I do not experience this problem. Furthermore if I first login to login.live.com or outlook.com etc and then try to access to page support.microsoft.com I am able to access it
without a problem.
Can you please help me determine the cause of this problem as we are experiencing this problem on all our server, terminal server and workstations in our network which makes me believe that there is either a problem with the site or we may be perhaps infected with a virus etc (although all scans came back clean).
Any assistance will be highly appreciated.
(Note I Have tried deleted all cookies, browsing history, cached credentials etc without success)

Hi,
I am working with IE11.
Is there a way to enable cookies for all users , including new users that will be created later on ?
(I think there was a group policy for this in older IE versions that was removed. Why ?!)
Alternately, is there a way to enable cookies from command line , by a user that is not administrator or in the administrator group ? It's ok if the setting applies just to that user.
Thanks
Forgive me if this has appeared twice as I posted yesterday but can't find it.
In our company we have access to the Microsoft Online E-learning site https://onlinelearning.microsoft.com. When the site is accessed all the courses appear but the silver light videos don't display. The time length shows in the bottom left hand side but after a few seconds it resets back to 0:00.
We are running Windows 7 enterprise IE8 (currently upgrading to 11 but issue also is in this version of the browser as well) and silverlight version 5.1.30514.0. I have been able to get it to run on a couple of machines by running another browser first but with 6500 assets in our enterprise that wouldn't be a lot of fun :) and to be honest i'm not sure made it work setting wise.
I suspect it is something to do with DRM as if I go to the site http://web.sldrm.video.msn.com/d1/sldrm.html the video doesn't run until I turn DRM off.
I added the key in the registry to enable DRM just in case still with no luck. I just find it strange that machines with the same windows image in the same OU logging in with the same account having differing results. I am sure it is a setting but what I'm not sure.
Thanks for reading
Paul
I have two systems that are identical. When I run the following code in powershell. The Document is mshtml.HTMLDocumentClass. But when I run the same code on the other system. The Document is System.__ComObject.
Why is the Document different on the other system. When I try to do a getelementbyID. It works when the document is of type mshtml.HTMLDocumentClass. But it fails when document is of type System.__ComObject.
I have the same version of IE version 11. The same version of powershell version 3.0.

Hello!
I have been searching forever and I cannot find an answer. My New Tab page for IE 11 has been hijacked by www-search.info. I have ran malwarebytes etc. I've cleaned the machine thoroughly: it's just this one thing. I cannot find out how to fix it. There has GOT to be a regedit option. I have gone all through it but I just can't find it.
Can someone please help me. What should I be looking for? Where in regedit do I change the new tab page settings? I know about New Tab settings in internet options, I don't need that. This is something on the base/behind the scenes malware issue. I have introductory level IT troubleshooting skills, in case that helps.
