Hi, our clients are experiencing problem to using print function in Internet Explorer

The issue is when they first click print, only the first 1 or 2 pages are printed out.

But if they click print again, all pages are printed out.

It's totally random.

Can someone give me a clue on how to solve this issue?

They are using IE8.

Thanks.

Wide tabs that don't shrink until I click outside IE

Internet explorer on my Win 7 laptop was upgraded to IE 10 and since then I am seeing an irritating behavior with the tabs. If I create a new tab and then close it, the remaining one tab is very wide, occupying the width of both the tabs (see screenshot below). Now, if I create another tab, it is also very wide. If I click somewhere outside IE (for example, in the taskbar or on the start button), the tabs resize again to their usual size.

I just hate this behavior and hope that Microsoft fixes the problem soon.

testing IE10 on Windows 7: response.redirect not taking to Root directory page

I testing on IE 10 standards mode.I have a Login.aspx page which is in Login directory(i.e Login/Login.aspx). I do response.redirect to a page Default.aspx which is a page in root directory(ie.Response.Redirect("../Default.aspx",true);).Also tried ~/Default.aspx to navigate to root. But instead of going to Default.aspx control reaches back to load of Login.aspx. I do observe in IE developer's tool that it hits Default.aspx but transaction time <1ms and do not hit init/load event handled in default.aspx.

This behaviour is happening in only my machine. Also all other browsers chrome, firefox along with IE10 Comp. mode is working fine.If i use server.transfer instead of redirect, it is working fine. but i need to use redirect function only.

Anyone happen to know if any setting or something i am missing. Thanks in advance

IE8/9 says every file "contained a file and was deleted"

I have multiple computers on my domain that will not download files or attachments in IE8 and 9.  It says "<filename> contained a virus and was deleted".  Everything will download fine in Chrome and Firefox and these files do not contain viruses - it happens on every file I try to download, or every attachment in all emails.

Is there a setting in IE that is causing this - it is happening on about 30 computers out of 100 in our domain - all with the same group policy settings for IE.

We are clueless and frustrated to figure this out and ready to just roll out Chrome to everybody to fix the problem.  Any help would be appreciated.

IE10 - Internet Explorer has stopped working (Windows 8)

I've only noticed this happening in Facebook, but I could be wrong. After a while I will get the error "Internet Explorer has stopped working". Afterwards, I get a box saying "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." Then, my only option is to CLOSE PROGRAM. I don't even get the option to search for a solution.

I also have Windows 8 if that matters. Windows 8 and IE 10 are both new to me. Just got a new tower a few weeks ago and have been dealing with learning Windows 8 and IE randomly giving me this error. Where do I start?

Thanks!!

IE 10 times out after about 10 seconds and displays a "This page cannot be displayed" message

Every since I installed Windows 8 and IE 10 in December of 2012, I have noticed that IE seems to time out fairly quickly and returns a  "This page cannot be displayed" message.  This appears to happen after about 10 seconds if a website does not render in that amount of time.

We have a website with a considerable amount of content and during busy periods it is not uncommon for a page to require a little more time to render. When I go to pages in FireFox or Chrome, the loading indicator keeps spinning indicating that the page is still downloading and often times the download completes as desired.

However, in IE 10 when the "This page cannot be displayed" message appears so soon, it gives customers the impression that our website is down or not functional.

I would prefer that IE 10 show a progress indicator for more than 10 seconds before deciding that the page is not available and if the download time is longer then let the customer decide when they want to abort the download.  I think that as long as the progress indicator is running, most people are willing to wait a little longer than 10 seconds for a page to render.

Having IE 10 make the decision that 10 seconds is too long is very frustrating because it leads to customers getting the impression that our website is not working when in fact it is.

We are not able to control customers choice of browsers and IE is still the leading browser people use when visiting our website.  However, IE 9 under Windows 7 is still the primary browser accessing our website and IE 9 does not appear to have this"cut off" feature set to 10 seconds.

Bug: WinRT IE ... only assists and prompts for any Java indirection to legacy IE the first time a webpage with Java is visited.

... after that ... WinRT IE will never assist you again with Java and send you to legacy IE. The pages will just fail in IE.

BTW I did not override the checkbox - but kept it set to get prompted (for that particular site). However, WinRT IE keeps failing Java assists for any sites with Java - even pages I have not visited before?

Bug report because I quickly tested this as answer to this question on Win8: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/217c6b32-f208-4dcb-ba2e-2b61683f5426/how-can-i-get-java-to-work-in-metro-internet-explorer-

... because I had just installed Windows 8.1. So interested if a bug was still there in WinRT/Metro IE.

.RDP Hyperlink on Webpage Won't Launch MSTSC Anymore

Greetings,

The company I work for has a virtual dedicated server (Windows Server 2008 R2 Standardwhich employees access through a hyperlink on the company's webpage (a html document). It was set up this way about a year ago and has worked fine up until yesterday. Normally, when the link is clicked in IE, mstsc.exe launches with the settings from the .RDP file. As of yesterday, it no longer launches but instead goes to a page displaying the text content of the .RDP file. Connecting to the server directly from the PC still works - it's only the link that isn't working. As far as I know, nothing has changed on our end and I've spent all night trying to fix this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is the code contained in webserver.rdp: (IP address has been substituted with ***'s)

"Internet Explorer has stopped working."

This is a message I get 40 to 60 times a day. There is nothing wrong with my web service and nothing shows to be wrong with my modem. I have no idea what is causing this to happen. Sometimes I get a message that too many add-ons can be the cause. I have never had problems of this nature from any Internet.

How do I load Explorer7 when you have Explorer 9? I did not have any problems with Explorer 7

All active buttons on web sites no longer work with IE 11

I've got several web sites that I go to that perform different functions such as generating a report. I can navigate to the sites and click on any links within the site and all of the navigation works fine. If there is an active button such as "generate report" or "Next" or "Save", when I click on them nothing happens. It's as if the underlying code doesn't exist. Just a button that does nothing. I'm assuming its some sort of security setting, but I haven't found it yet.

problem with javascript pop-up display in windows 8 IE11

$

Normally, if i create a javascript pop-up, the link will open the specified .htm file in something that
looks like a tool-tip box at the cursor location. This is what I want.

Unfortunately, in windows 8.0 IE 11, it opens a new browser window in the top left
corner of the display. I don't like this
because, instead of easily clicking away to close the pop-up, the user has to close a browser window. This is especially not user friendly when using tap gesture in tablet.

I would appreciate a way to modify the html to continue to get the tool tip
style pop-up in windows 8.

here's the html:

Managing proxy via GPP

$

Hey guys, just checking in to see how everyone else is managing a web proxy with IE10. I'm having some dramas with setting a proxy and managing exceptions to it.

So, I'm using the RSAT on a Win8 machine and trying to configure a Preference to define my proxy and some URL's I want to except from it. Setting the proxy works OK, but things change when you need to use the Advanced options. Setting some options under Advanced then clicking OK, disables the ability to define a proxy.

It's becoming quite an issue for me - I'm hoping some others have been through this one before me.

Cheers

Internet Explorer 10 has stopped working on Windows 7

Hello,

I have tried all of the steps listed on here (resetting/clean boot/enabling cpu graphics) with no change on my Internet Explorer message "Internet Explorer has stopped working." I have also tried uninstalling the latest update (via Windows Update) Internet Explorer 10 update with no success either. "An error has occurred. Not all of the updates were successfully uninstalled." Is the message I receive after the failed attempt to remove Windows Internet Explorer 10. I have been using another laptop for the past two days to access the internet and try and troubleshoot these problems but I have gotten nowhere with any of these attempts. The clean boot approach has been the last thing that I have tried but it did not work either. I would GREATLY appreciate some help from anyone that is reading.

Thank You

Derek

Video Links and the problem of "This page can't be displayed"

During the years, I have saved the links for my favorite video sites in a folder. I used to click on any of these links and watch them whenever I wanted. Few weeks ago, because of a deadly virus, my computer was locked and I was told to reset my computer to "Out of Factory State."

Since I had a complete backup of my data, I did this and reinstall all my software and data. Now, everything worked OK, except, whenever I click  on video links, after a long wait, I get: "This page can't be displayed"

Can anyone help me on this issue?  Thank you in advance. Ray A.
