Hi,
I have created a domain controller (virtual machine) named Test 1 using hyper V.
And I have configured a client machine using the same Hyper V named Client1.
How shall I connect the client VM to DC?
I have servers (2003 and 2008) that have IE8 and lower that need to be upgraded. The servers do NOT have internet access, so I can not use the mini loader that would then go get the rest. I need to download a full version of the IE9 installer on my pc that I can then copy to the servers to install. I need both the 32 bit and a 64 bit version. Does anyone know where I can find these?
I know that versions 10 and 11 are out - but they have not been accepted as our company standard, so sending me to a link that saysInternet Explorer 9 Downloads and then selecting Internet Explorer 9 (all languages) which
re-directs me to a page that says:
Is absolutely no use to me.
I am running IE10 RTM on Windows 8 Pro RTM from MSDN.
The built in paging controls of a gridview are not working on IE10, they work fine on all other versions. How can this be?
Go to this website and try to click on one of the numbers in the grid footer, nothing happens in IE10. Run in compatibility and it works fine. Asp.net generates this code, how can Microsoft not support the millions of instance of their own code? IE9 was great and Ie10 is barely usuable.
I have 'just 1' machine so far with this problem so i am fairly certain it is a setting or registry entry but can not for the life of me figure this one out.
Windows 7 Pro 64 bit - IE 11 - all current updates.
When i open Windows Explorer (file explorer) and I enter an FTP site address, IE 11 opens and takes me to the address.
This would be all fine and dandy except for uploads yeah?
I used to be able to, in IE, go VIEW -> OPEN WITH FILE EXPLORER but now when I do that there is 0 response from the computer.
I have checked the boxes for Allow FTP view outside of IE and I have checked the box for Use Passive Mode.
Oh, Behavior is the same whether the fire wall is active or not.
What am i missing.
Thanks,
James

When I try and type into Internet Explorer (or Google Chrome and Firefox) I don’t get the letter or symbol that I type. For instance when I typed “a” I got “r” on screen and similarly “w” gave “t” and “m” gave “y”. I then typed “a” again and got “u” on screen. When I kept hitting “a” I got “u, I, o, [“ which is of course part of a progression along a querty keyboard!
When I type into a “Word” document the problem does not occur nor does it when I type into an email.
Things that I have tried:
None of these actions have cured the problem. What can I do to correct this?
I have Windows 7 with all of the latest updates downloaded.
IE version 11.0.9600.17041. Update version 11.0.7

Hi,
I am facing problem when pasting text and Image content from WinWord to mshtml control .
Since the body of the clipboard content has VML tag and due to this , the image is not displayed in mshtml control.
By unregistering VGX.dll , the image gets displayed properly .
Would like to know if any alternate solution exists other than unregistering the VGX.dll.
IE version : IE10
Office version: 2010
The clipboard format is of type CF_HTML and the body of the content has VML tags which is not recognized by mshtml.
Thanks

I was asked to set the Internet zone security level to high via a GPO, this has been done for a test group of users. The setting has been confirmed, but as far as I can see it has not actually done anything.
Can anyone tell me what changes I should see to the behavior and/or access of websites now the security level is set to high?
Hi all,
I have a remote user with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8 who ended up with the ask.com toolbar. This was removed but his homepage and search provider is also set to Ask and I can't change them.
I'm not the first one to look at it but I checked Manage Add-ons and the Ask toolbar wasn't listed. Next I checked Programs and Features in the Control Panel and there wasn't anything listed for Ask. I changed the homepage and search provider but, the next time IE came up it was changed back to the Ask.com settings. I tried going through the registry and deleting or changing the entries related to Ask.com but they just get re-entered. I also looked through the filesystem but didn't see anything that was obviously related to Ask.
I was able to keep it on the right home page by editing the group policies on the maching but you shouldn't have to do that. I still can't set the search provider. Every time I remove the Ask.com search provider it just puts itself back on as the default.
I know the user won't want to send the laptop in for reimaging. Is there anything that can be done?
Thanks.

I have a strange malfunction:
When I startup Internet (using Internet Explorer 11), a facebook friends name occurs in the page-tab, before switching tho the start-page name. The facebook-page does not load, and nothing indicates any kind of re-directing.
It's rather annoying, and since I'm not the sole user of this computer I'd like it to disappeare...
Upper part of pic shows how it looks on startup, and lower part shows the start-page a split second later.
when I open any website on Internet Explorer 11 I get a pop up asking me if I want to save the file or open it? If I click open then a privacy box appears.
This is probably one of the most annoying issues I've seen so far.. Is there a fix for this?
I work from home usingmy company's citrix server access. Previou7sly, I used have IE 11/WINDOWS 8.1 I HATE WINDOWS 8*and it did not bother asking, do you want to open or save? I want computer not to ask such nagging questions everytime....Pl. let me know, what my opitions are....This is drivingme crazy.
I conducted the sfc/scannow and it stated that I have corrupted files some that could not be fixed
Box has IE9 and activeX controls load fine. Install IE11 and ActiveX controls do NOT load. All IE settings look unchanged from IE9 settings.
Looked at procmon logs for both good and bad PCs. Bad PC never shows any registry reference to the Wow6432Node\CLSID\<guid>\InProcServer32 key to find control.
If I use appwiz.cpl and uninstall the update, IE9 is back and happily loads the controls. As mentioned other similar boxes work just fine.
I've repeated the uninstall/reinstall several times with no differences. ideas?
