Running Internet Explorer v9.0.8112.16421 on Windows 7 Pro x64 with SP1.

When the browser is asked to open a page in a new window or tab, the new blank window or tab appears, but nothing loads. There is a spinning circle in the address bar and along side the mouse cursor, but nothing more happens.

This behavior is observed whether you click on a link using target="_blank" or right click on a link and select open in new window. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled IE9. I have also experimented with the IE tabbed browsing settings including disabling tabbed browsing.

I am using IE 10 on a kiosk app running under Win 7 that has no network access. I am using the Media Player object to show videos. Everything is on the hard drive. IE gives me a dialog that I have to permit the running of an Active-X control. If I enable"permit Active-X", I now get a warning that my settings are not safe. I need to get rid of all warning messages as this kiosk has no keyboard, mouse or internet connection. It will always be safe. I can not figure how to do this. What I really want is a box that I can check that says "don't help me".

HI. I can't "save picture as" to the desktop on  Win 7 home premium. On any other computer it goes right to the desktop. Is there a special setting?. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

I try to download file from management website of switch device. The file size is 11.66K.

The webserver is GoAhead, OS is windows7 and explorer version is 10 (it also happens with explorer 11). The server is using Transfer-Encoding: chunked.

After I download the file, I get pop-up message from the browser “Do you want to open or save running-config.txt from 1.1.1.11?”

If I press the save/open button I get message “running-config .txt couldn’t be downloaded”. If I press the retry button the file is downloaded successfully.

When I used meddler to debug the problem, it didn’t occur and the file was downloaded successfully.

I took capture of successful download (with meddler debugger) and  another capture of download that raised “couldn’t be downloaded” message, but I didn’t see any difference between the requests and the responses. I also made sure the last chunk “0” was not missing in the response and it wasn’t.

Please note, I also tried many suggestions given to other users that reported similar problem – restart explorer, remove add-ons, etc – nothing worked!

Only recently have I had a 10 second freeze of IE 11 when clicking on a few sites. Must have been a Microsoft update that has a bug.

Having problems with Internet Explorer 11 running on a 64 bit Windows 7 machine.

When I launch Internet Explorer now nothing happens - just a blank screen. I then tried launching IE with no add ons and everything works OK in that mode. I have tried disabling all add ons but still launching IE will not work.

Any ideas ?

Recently I added ye hotspot on my network so I added a "Host" record on dns for Facilitating users for login and logout,

"internetlogout"

on client computer and server , with Firefox webbrowser , hotspot page will be open but in IE and google chroume didn't.

what should I do?

Good day

I am having a problem with few of the users in our company. one of our website requires java to run some of the user started experiencing problem,

and we saw that java was not running after some few diagnostic we found that internet explorer was opening with the 64 bit version instead of 32 bit.

when i log in with my profile Internet explore opens with 32 bit. I even went to program files (X86) on the internet explorer folder tried double clicking it from there and it does not open or even show up on task manager, but when i do the same on my profile it works fine. please help is there something that is causing this that we need to change on the user profile?

Hello, we have to harden Internet Explorer to use in the kiosk mode (-k). The user should not be able to do a thing besides using the application which is loaded. We have set all the meaningful Group Policys like "View menu: Disable Source menu option" and "Turn off Shortcut menu" under "User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Browser menus". I cant find a way to disable ctrl+u, ctrl+j and ctrl+h.

I can't uninstall the German language pack on Windows 7 Professional. I get a modal dialog with the error "An error has occurred. Not all of the updates were successfully uninstalled."

I tried the following methods:

• Re-install the language pack and attempt to uninstall it.
• Uninstall via the command line tool lpksetup (with my current user and with administrator privileges)

The image rendering engine of IE 8,9, 10, 11 is always awful since years of in compare to ALL other browsers.

Example: If you have responsive Design you upload images at the highest resolution (1024x768) and the Browser scale this image as needed.

ALL browsers deliver scaled and sharp images except the IE 8,9, 10, 11 (IE 7 use-ms-interpolation-mode:bicubic) which no longer work.

Compare it with the frontpage of   www.microsoft.com - scale it to Smartphone Size and see the images: IE 8,9, 10, 11 always has NO anti-aliasing.

PLEASE FIX THIS - or people using IE must accept this...?!

Is there a way to display the full text description of a page on IE 9 tabs? It used to be fully visible on IE 8. It is important to our users that they see the full description. See sample screenshot below: top image is IE8 and below it is IE9. <o:p></o:p>

Hello!

I'm developing a shopping website. My banner only appear in half, ( thus unreadable ) when viewed in IE. Thing is, I many of my customers are using IE. So it's a big trouble to me.

Actualy I have my production environment issue in IE 11 version that confirm password value came as blank we got some solution that required user setting in browser but I need code that can do that change automatically with out browser setting.

I am aware of compatibility mode for IE10, which runs sites as if the browser was IE7, but there is one particular site where we actually need IE8 mode. I am aware of the F12 method of manually selecting Browser Mode, and also the FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION registry key, but the problem is that even if I enter a value of "8888" decimal, when then opening up IE10, and pressing F12 to see the browser mode, it shows up as "Browser mode: Unknown". It seems only the value for IE9, 9999, or IE7, 7000 actually works. Am I doing something wrong when trying to force IE8 mode via registry? Also, I don't suppose there is any way to run a particular site in IE8 mode? Using Group Policy I can only force certain sites in IE7 mode.

I have been unable to download McAfee software. They advised there was a problem with Internet Explorer. I cannot open Internet Explorer. There is some problem with the Microsoft software.

I disabled all my add-ons because I wanted my browser to be faster. Now when I try to go on the internet it goes blank and when I type the website URL it doesn't load, what can I do?

Using Windows Update on Windows 7 SP1, there is an option to enable "Microsoft Update" at the bottom to also update Office and other Microsoft applications:

This opens a webpage, which in IE 10 and earlier, allows me to enable Microsoft Update.

However, IE 11 does not show the page to enable Microsoft Update but shows a useless and unrelated help message:

Use your Start menu to check for updates

How am I supposed to enable the optional Microsoft Update service now?
